It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our company’s founder, Paddy Purcell, on Wednesday December 3, 2025.

Paddy Purcell was 39 years old, when he along with his wife Mary founded Mincon. Paddy and Mary built Mincon from the ground up through hard work, focus, and an unwavering belief in what a committed team can do together. The culture that exists across the Mincon Group today – one of dedication, resilience, and ambition – reflects the values they had when starting the business.

Paddy’s legacy is deeply woven into the fabric of the company and will continue to live on across the global world of the Mincon Group.

Designed for both Top Hammer and DTH Hammer drilling methods.

Supporting various casing advancement requirements, including micro-piles, anchors, forepoling-grout injection with steel or TBM-safe GFRP casing, and dewatering.

Applications include:
• Forepoling or Tube umbrella

A DTH hammer and bit combination advances as it fractures, splits, breaks, and crushes anything in its path.

Surprisingly, the gauge row wears significantly more than the bit face.

The primary factors are continuous contact with the borehole wall during rotation and impact, lateral forces, and friction.

A DTH bit's lifespan is limited by its outermost diameter—a complete waste of material, economically speaking!

With casing advancing ring bit systems, a whole new feasibility aspect is added to your choice of tooling.

The most expensive part of your bit, the pilot, features a replaceable, shielded layer.

Mincon's MRXT series of RC Hammers equip you with the means to achieve these results.

Key Features of the MRXT Range Top-Loading Design:

∙ Enables easier inspection and maintenance of sample tubes.
∙ Reduces downtime by avoiding full hammer disassembly - Promotes safer, faster, and cost-effective operations.
∙ Upgraded Check Valve: Enhances air pressure control for better sample integrity.
∙ Optional Bleed Chuck Sleeve: Maintains positive air pressure at the bit face. Ensures dry sample collection by holding the outside water head above the chuck sleeve.

The MRXT-series RC hammers are available in all common exploration hole sizes. Hammer ⌀ 82mm - 132mm.
