FOR SALE: 2022 Corvette C8 3LT Carbon Launch Edition

The C8 Corvette, with the new mid-engine layout brought the Vette into supercar territory. Without the finnicky maintenance headaches often associated with supercars…

The owner of this car ordered as high a specification as possible – the 3LT being much rarer than the more basic 2LT version.

In Rapid Blue, specifications include visible carbon roof, yellow brake callipers, yellow seatbelts. It’s fitted with the factory front axle lift. The removable roof is full carbon fibre finish. The car has full PPF treatment.

In addition to a being Carbon Edition (with limited carbon trim), the car has been fitted with the full AGM 5VM carbon body kit and engine bay kit. This was specially ordered from the USA and cost almost $20,000.00 imported and professionally installed. It’s clearly very high quality and adds a lot to the visual impact the car has.

It has upgraded alloy wheels with 20” front (original 19”) and 21” rear (original 20”) Vossen EVO-R5 3-piece rims specially made to order, with Pirelli PZ4 and extra GM TPMS’s. The owner still has the original wheels and tyres, which will go with the car.

Upgraded brakes and suspension have also been installed.

A new air filter with free flow Blue Attack filter - and finally the dual colour bonnet stripes were added, accentuating the shape of the car.

The car benefits from approximately $60,000 of high-quality aftermarket fitments.

The car drives beautifully – as a 11,000km C8 should. When you put your foot down on the accelerator, the noise and performance are thoroughly impressive!

This Corvette is presented in spotless condition throughout. The number plates AMERIC8 go with the car to a Western Australian buyer.

A very high spec example in immaculate condition, it’s ready for its next owner.

FOR SALE: 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback - $99,000

This car is an exceptional example. The original Mustang changed the course of motoring for many and has become an object of desire for collectors ever since.

This car’s build number reveals the car was built at the San Jose factory on February 24th 1965, with a 289 V8, C-4 automatic transmission and 2.80:1 rear axle.

Early ownership history is unknown. The car underwent a thorough restoration in the USA in the late 1990s, the tremendously high quality of which is evident. By 2006 the car was in Western Australia.

Some paperwork exists for the car in the period following, showing routine servicing, replacement of wearing parts within the scope of normal expectations.

Eight years ago the present owner bought the Mustang after a search for the best he could find. It’s seen minimal use as a part of the collection of classic and vintage cars, always regularly maintained.

The car presents beautifully as a spectacular example of the model. Inside and out the car is in show car condition. It is completely correct and unmodified. The attention to detail throughout is evidence of a very high quality restoration.

Even the underneath presents exceptionally well – the car only having been used in fair weather. The odometer reads 22,830 miles.
The car starts immediately, and with automatic transmission and power steering, is an easy car to enjoy on the road. The engine emits a nice burbling sound and offers performance aplenty.

While there are plenty of Mustangs around, opportunities to find such a fine example are few, and this car will satisfy the most discerning collector.

SOLD: 1990 Mercedes-Benz 560SEL

One of the all-time great luxury cars was the Mercedes-Benz W126 series – and the ultimate version was the 560SEL. The long wheelbase version and the largest engine - a 5.6-litre V8, sold for $238,000 back in 1990.

The luxurious 560SEL wanted for nothing – it even had a power rear seat. This car is a late version which benefitted from several updates, most noticeable being in the upholstery finishes and externally, smooth, deeper bumpers and side claddings.

Delivered new in New South Wales, this car moved to Western Australia when relatively new. The previous owner was a Mercedes-Benz Car Club member and had the car for many years before selling it to the current owner in 2010. He is also a club member and has primarily used the car for club runs and Sunday cruises
He says the car has always been very reliable and has required no major work during his ownership. In addition to regular maintenance, details of jobs undertaken will be included in email description. Today the car has 251,000km on its odometer.

The 560 is finished in a rare and attractive colour scheme of Malachite Green metallic, with light coloured leather interior which suits it well. The car is fitted with lambswool seat covers, and a check confirms there’s no undue wear to the driver’s seat. The original Becker Mexico sound system is fitted.

This car is a joy to drive. The smooth V8 provides ample performance and the transmission changes beautifully smoothly. The ride and comfort levels are excellent, even by today’s standards.

FOR SALE: 1959 Austin Healey 3000 BN7 - $87,000

The BN7 model was a big improvement with a larger 2.9-litre engine, front disc brakes and a 4-speed gearbox. Overdrive was a desirable option now offered.

These stylish two-seater sports cars were capable of well in excess of 100mph, making them a highly desirable car in their day and today as classic collector items. 2,825 of the BN7 were manufactured.

This very fine example has been the subject of a comprehensive restoration to an impressively high standard.

In June 2021 when the present owner purchased the car to join his car collection.

No documentation came with the car and its history is unknown. The condition of this car speaks for itself however. The chassis number indicates that the car was originally built in left-hand-drive configuration. Since the present owner purchased the car, it has been serviced and had the overdrive rebuilt, but it has needed nothing else.

It’s seen little use – as a part of a large collection - and has not been out in wet weather.

It starts easily and is a joy to drive, with its torquey motor and sporty exhaust sound. Unlike many roadsters from the era, this car feels as tight as a drum, with no shakes or rattles – a sure sign of a well sorted restoration.

The cost to restore a Big Healey to this standard today would be far in excess the asking price for this car – and you’d struggle to find a better example.

FOR SALE: 1963 GAZ Volga M21 - $30,000

This is a remarkably rare and fascinating classic – a GAZ Volga M21. The Volga was a upper middle-range Russian car, mostly used for government officials and the KGB…

The cars were exported to a few nearby countries. This one went to Estonia, where it remained until bought by a Melbourne enthusiast.
He had the Volga displayed by invitation at the prestigious Motorclassica exhibition one year, where it gained a lot of attention... And the car has participated in the Bay to Birdwood in South Australia twice, being reliable enough to drive there and back. The main photo shows it in the event.

After several years of ownership the owner sold the car to a buyer in the Gold Coast, Queensland six years ago, where the car remains today.

Its odometer shows 33,000km, which the owner believes is original. He says the car has always been reliable.

The Volga features a 2.4-litre 4-cylinder motor, a 3-speed gearbox, independent front suspension and a 12-volt electrical system.
This car is the Export version, which gains some additional chrome trim and interior fittings.

Included is a big workshop manual in English – which must be much rarer than the car.

These cars are renowned for their sturdy construction, which is unsurprising given the rigors some would go through in their home country.

For collectors in WA, there’s never been a Volga of any model in Perth. It would be a very welcome addition to our car culture here.

FOR SALE: 2012 Renault Megane RS 265 RB7 Red Bull - $24,900

Renault’s Megane series spawned special RS versions which were formidable performers in the hot hatch world. Several times these cars set new lap records at the Nürburgring as the fastest front wheel drive production car to lap the circuit.

Just 51 of these RB7 cars were made to Australian specifications and this would probably rate as the best example in Australia today.

The RS 265 was already very highly specified and the Red Bull version added more.

The Megane RB7's distinguishing features includes the Etoile Black body colour, yellow coloured front bumper spoiler, mirrors and rear diffuser, Red Bull Racing's official logos on the doors and a special roof graphic. Inside there are Recaro bucket seats, a unique gear lever k**b and a numbered plaque and stand-out yellow seat belts.
The 2.0-litre 16-valve turbocharged engine produces 265 PS (261 bhp /195 kW) and 360 Nm (266 lb-ft) of torque.

This fine example delivered new in Brisbane in March 2013 to a Perth buyer. The service booklet stamps show the car has always been maintained properly. The present owner has had a new battery installed, new timing belt and water pump, as a sensible precautionary measure. The last service was at 50,922km and the car has done about 100km since then.

It remains an outstanding example of the breed – in immaculate condition throughout. There’s nothing anyone could criticise about the condition of this Megane RS. It would satisfy the most particular buyer and would sit proudly in any collection.

The numberplates REDBULL 1 are available by negotiation for Western Australian buyers.

FOR SALE: 1976 Steyr Puch Pinzgauer 712M 6x6 - $59,000

The Pinzgauer is acknowledged around the globe as one of the most capable off-roaders ever produced.

Made in Austria, the Pinzgauer is built around a central tube chassis and fitted with a Steyr designed 2.5 litre inline 4-cylinder, air-cooled and a 5-speed transmission with 2-speed transfer case and on-the-fly hydraulic differential locks.

About 30 countries’ military forces used Pinzgauers and they were used extensively by energy companies for oil exploration purposes. The vehicles gained an enviable reputation for having superior capabilities to mass production off road vehicles, yet practical in use due to their size and reliability. The width of the track is similar to large mass production 4WDs, so dirt roads provide no obstacle (unlike, for example, the bigger Hummer).

This vehicle was delivered new in 1976 to the Swiss Army. Like all military vehicles, it would have been meticulously maintained. After completing its duties the car was exported to the USA and ended up with a military vehicle collector in New York. In the US, fuel injection was installed to the motor as well as the extensive bar work surrounding the vehicle and full-length roof rack. It was from New York that the present owner purchased the Pinzgauer eight years ago and set about arranging its freight to Western Australia.
On arrival a few items were attended to – such as fitting of six new tyres and new shock absorbers. The Pinzgauer was licensed without any trouble and then a few more items added. Two sets of driving lights were added to the front (plus sides and rear), electric power steering was fitted – which makes a big difference. A reversing camera with screen were installed.

The odometer reading is just 8,948 miles. The owner advises that everything works as it should.

Chances to buy a Pinzgauer in Australia are very rare as there are so few in this country. Having spent around $15,000 ensuring this example is at its best, chances are there’s none better anywhere in this country.

This vehicle offers unlimited adventure and would be centre of attention at a Cars & Coffee event…

If you like the idea of the ultimate off-road vehicle – look no further, but act quickly.

SOLD: 1987 Bentley Turbo R

These are impressive cars. The Mulsanne Turbo model paved the way in bringing the Bentley marque to where it is today. The Turbo R brought more performance, equipment, refinement and desirability. Hand built and very expensive, 199 were made RHD in 1987. For that year the Turbo R gained more power – 328bhp - as well as anti-lock brakes.

This car was delivered in the UK - the strongest market for Bentley - and it then made its way to New South Wales and to the ownership of a lawyer who had the car for thirteen years.

He sold the car four years ago to the Western Australian owner who has it to today.

Since then a Head Up Display speedometer has been installed as has a reversing camera and a hands-free system for phone use.
The Turbo R has been maintained by a well-respected Bentley specialist. We can email you details of jobs completed. The car’s mileage today is 144,000, the owner having done about 10,000km in his four years.

It’s a smartly presented car, in a very attractive metallic dark blue finish. There are a few minor blemishes, in keeping for a car of its age.

Inside the Bentley is a truly luxurious environment, beautifully finished and well kept. Light coloured leather upholstery (with optional contrasting piping) complements the rich polished woodwork – which is in excellent condition.

There’s great driving pleasure on offer here, from a comfortable, smooth and ‘wafting’ driving experience to the wild side that 328 horsepower can offer – that’s more power than a Porsche 930 Turbo had in those days...

The owner will retain his number plates IRISH TWO and will have new standard plates fitted upon sale.

These are impressive cars, and although forty years old, offer ample performance and luxury with old world charm – at a very reasonable price.
