We are proud to be supporting Chevron Australia with the Gorgon Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) optimisation works on Barrow Island.
We have designed and manufactured four custom-built substations for the project at our Forrestdale facilities, led by Brett Heslin and his team. Congratulations to our staff for completing a successful high-stakes project.
The substations will provide electrical supply and communications to new surface infrastructure and sub-surface equipment.

Managing Director Dave Kounis said the company’s work with Chevron demonstrated an ongoing partnership between global operations and WA businesses.

We’ve had fun this week putting together a collection of some of our favourite moments from Kounis Group’s 70th-anniversary gala dinner.
It was an evening of laughs, memories and black-tie glamour, not to mention a trip down memory lane, but also a celebration of what’s yet to come for our company as we kicked up our heels and looked to the future.
Highlights of the evening – and there were many – included a 70th-anniversary cake and a surprise video message from then Premier Mark McGowan, and a speech by Kounis Managing Director Dave Kounis. Dave is the son of Paul Kounis, our 91-year-old founder who is still involved in our business.
In the words of Mark McGowan, here’s to the next 70 years!

Tonight, we head to the Ballroom at The Westin Hotel Perth to celebrate the Kounis Group’s 70th anniversary.

Joining us will be many of the family, colleagues and friends who have been part of our journey as we’ve grown and evolved over the past seven decades.

It’s been fun putting together a timeline charting the landmark moments in our history, from humble beginnings as a backyard start-up in 1953, to leading designer and manufacturer of metal products.
