We acknowledges the history of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children being forcibly removed from their families, communities and Country, and the ongoing, intergenerational impacts that continue today.

It is a time for reflection, listening and continued learning.

A Cure for Loneliness presented by artist Lauren Marchbank.

This performance has dancing, singing, writing, projection, meditating and an extra special kind of dance party for everyone to join in with, if they want to.
“Come along so we won’t be alone in the roller coaster ride of life together to find A CURE FOR LONELINESS.

Lauren has sold out all of her shows but there is a waitlist you can join https://blueroom.org.au/events/a-cure-for-loneliness/

Lauren developed this work in 2020/21 as part of My Place’s My Studio program and we are thrilled to see her further development as an independent artist with collaborators, Bernadette Lewis and Laura Boynes.

My Studio works alongside artists at their own pace, offering personalised, relationship-centred support that respects artistic agency, ambition and choice. The program is grounded in inclusion, community participation and self-direction, and is recognised for its leadership in disability-led arts practice.
