Happy Labour Day! 🎉

Today we celebrate the workers, the builders, the doers - the people who show up every single day and keep our communities running.

Whether you're a plumber, a bookkeeper, a personal trainer, or a dog groomer - what you do matters. And your community needs to be able to find you.

So while you've got the day off, we've got a question for you:

What do YOU do? Drop it in the comments - let's celebrate the skills in our community today.

Here's a question worth sitting with:

When you need a service provider - a plumber, an accountant, a coach - do you Google it and hope for the best, or do you ask someone you trust?

Most of us ask someone we trust.

Yet our digital behaviour doesn't reflect that. We scroll through strangers' star ratings, cross our fingers, and hope.

B2Me is changing that. It's a free services marketplace built around community trust - not algorithms. You find providers through the communities you already belong to: your school, your local club, your business network.

The result? Providers who are accountable to your network. Service users who feel confident before they've even made contact.

If you're a small business owner or community leader in Australia, it's worth exploring.

When was the last time you hired someone you truly trusted?

Not just someone with good reviews online - but someone your neighbour vouched for, your school community uses, or your local sports club recommended?

There's a reason that feels different.

B2Me is built on exactly that principle. We connect you with service providers who are already trusted within your own community - your school, your church, your local group.

No cold searching. No guessing. Just real connections, built on real trust.

Whether you're a tradesperson, a life coach, a bookkeeper, or a hairdresser - your community already wants to find you.

Unpopular opinion: the best part of Easter has nothing to do with what's in the basket…

It's the long weekend that somehow feels longer. The table that gets a bit louder. The cousin you only see twice a year who still makes you laugh harder than anyone. The moment someone says "should we stay just a little longer?" and nobody argues.

Easter is just a really good excuse to be with your people and remember that this - the slow mornings, the full tables, the too-long lunches - is kind of the whole point.

So wherever you are and whoever you're with this Easter, we hope it's exactly that.

Warm, unhurried, and a little bit chaotic in the best way.

Happy Easter from all of us at B2Me Australia. 🐰✨

PSA: Your business bestie needs you. And no, we're not talking about buying everything in their shop (although… 👀).

Being a hype girl is a skill. And lucky for you, we've got 20 ways to do it - most of them free, all of them powerful:

1. Follow their business page (if you haven't, who even are you 😅)
2. Like their last 5 posts. Right now. We'll wait.
3. Leave them a Google review - five stars, heartfelt words, the works ⭐
4. Share their post to your stories without being asked
5. Comment something actual - not just an emoji (unless it's very intentional)
6. Save their posts - the algorithm notices, even when humans don't
7. Tag them next time someone asks "do you know anyone who does…?"
8. Personally text 3 people their details. Old school. Effective.
9. Shout them out on your own feed, unprompted, unsponsored, just because
10. Refer them in a Facebook group before someone else recommends a dodgy alternative
11. Write them a LinkedIn recommendation while you're feeling generous
12. Subscribe to their email list and actually open the emails
13. Reply to one of those emails so they know a real human is reading
14. Tell your workplace. Word of mouth still slaps.
15. Engage with their Reels in the first 30 mins - it's algorithm gold 🥇
16. Share their website link somewhere it'll actually be seen
17. Buy their lowest-tier offer - $20 can change someone's month
18. Send them a voice note saying they're killing it. Just do it.
19. Book a call. Show up. Be genuinely interested.
20. Tell them you're proud of them. Seriously. Say the words.

The business world is genuinely better when we back each other. Tag your hype girl below and then actually go and do one thing on this list today.

🛍️ Idea train: How do YOU support local?

We love our local businesses (obviously 😉), but everyone supports differently. Let's start an inspo thread!

We'll go first:
✨ Buying gift vouchers even when we can't visit immediately
✨ Tagging businesses in our stories when we visit
✨ Leaving Google reviews (they make a HUGE difference!)

Now your turn! Comment below with how you support your locals - let's create a masterlist of ideas for the community!

The best part? Every comment gives another small biz owner a new idea to suggest to their customers!

We're curious (and listening): What does this day mean to you? How are you feeling about it in 2026?

Drop a comment below - all perspectives welcome. Let's have a respectful conversation.

However you're spending today - big celebrations, quiet reflection, or just a well-deserved sleep-in - we hope it's exactly what you need.

To our incredible community of local businesses and the people who support them: thank you for making this year special. Here's to connection, kindness, and keeping it local.

RIP to everyone's bank accounts. Black Friday claimed another round of victims. 💸

But here's the thing - while you were panic-buying discounted air fryers and gadgets you'll use twice, your local businesses were just...existing. Being brilliant. All year round.

No fake markups. No "limited time" pressure tactics. Just quality service from people in your community who'll actually remember your name next time.

Support local. They've got what you need, minus the 3am shopping cart anxiety. 🛒❤️
