The Centre for Women's Safety and Wellbeing is seeking an Aboriginal Strategy and Engagement Manager to join the new Family and Domestic Violence Workforce Entity.

This role is responsible for ensuring Aboriginal approaches to workforce development are in line with the FDV System Reform Plan and Closing the Gap priorities, while upholding cultural authority and shared decision-making across the sector.

In this role, you will:

✨ Provide cultural expertise and advice across workforce development, community safety and reform initiatives
✨ Build and maintain relationships with Aboriginal leaders, Elders, ACCOs, peak bodies and government stakeholders
✨ Establish and manage an Aboriginal Advisory Group to guide culturally informed decision-making
✨ Design and implement Aboriginal workforce capability strategies, including leadership pathways and capacity building initiatives
✨ Support FDV services and ACCOs to deliver culturally safe family and domestic violence responses
✨ Represent the organisation in high-level forums related to Aboriginal policy, workforce reform and family and domestic violence

This position is open to Aboriginal people only, in accordance with section 50(d) of the Equal Opportunity Act 1984 (WA).

This role is responsible for leading workforce capability strategies aligned to WA family and domestic violence system reform priorities and sector needs, while supporting quality, consistency and continuous improvement across the FDV system.

In this role, you will:
✨ Develop and maintain the FDV Workforce Entity’s Capability Development Plan
✨ Analyse workforce capability gaps, emerging practice areas and future workforce needs
✨ Design and deliver practical capability initiatives, including training, professional development, resources and communities of practice
✨ Manage contracted workforce development projects, including scope, timelines, budgets, risks and outcomes
✨ Work with government, specialist FDV services, ACCOs, training providers, research partners and community organisations
✨ Support workforce initiatives that embed trauma-informed, culturally responsive, evidence-informed and survivor-centred practice

Based in Tom Price, this pivotal role offers the opportunity to drive meaningful impact across health, family and community development programs that empower people to live safe, healthy and connected lives.

As CEO, you will partner with the Board to:
- Lead a values-driven organisation founded on Respect, Belonging, Honesty and Connection
- Strengthen partnerships across government, corporate and community sectors
- Ensure governance excellence, financial sustainability and long-term growth
- Champion cultural leadership and staff wellbeing across a diverse, dedicated team

What we offer:
- $140,000–$160,000 base salary
- Housing at just $50/week — inclusive of utilities — in a comfortable 3x1 home. At Tom Price market rates, this alone is worth $75,000–$100,000+ per annum.
