Yoga an Evolving Practise:
Throughout our Yoga Journey, we may notice that the same postures feel different each time we take practice. One morning we may feel strong and open and the very next morning the exact same pose can present us with a surprising challenge. This is because Yoga is a Practice, by performing the breathing, mental-focus and postures on a daily basis, we can begin to use the practice as a mirror to develop a deeper understanding of where we are at in the moment. While there are corrections a teacher may offer to keep us from injury, and to help us to move deeper in our journey. The practices will not be exactly the same for any two people and will continue to evolve and change with us throughout our practice and life. Yoga can help offer protection and support in times of stress and hardship through the physical, mental and emotional conditioning and also by assisting us to develop a deeper understanding of who we are.
Yoga is for everyone, and, anyone, at any stage in their life can join in the practice. By releasing the ego and practicing for where you are in the here in now, you can start to shift and release unhelpful habitual patterns and move towards your Dharma (your true path through life).
If you want to experience the benefits of Yoga, make the decision to prioritise your yoga practices. 3 times a week to experience significant mental and emotional shifts, and daily to experience the true transformational power of yoga.
Incidentally, many of my students report to me that after regular practice they feel they become kinder drivers. It must work! The Australian roads are a true test of mindfulness!
