Careers don't always start with a solid plan.

Sometimes they grow by taking opportunities as they come, backing yourself and making the most of the support around you.

For Jake Davis, that path has been shaped over time through steady progress, leveraging the support from those around him and a willingness to step forward when opportunities arise.

Starting as a warehouse hand, Jake has spent the past 14 years building his career with Westgold. Today, as Superintendent Warehouse, he brings a hands-on and inclusive approach to leadership.

A big part of that foundation comes from family, particularly his mum, Leanne. Her no-nonsense ethos of showing up, taking responsibility and following through continues to guide how he approaches both work and life.

A big win for Kambalda students 🙌🏉

For a long time, junior sport in Kambalda has been tough to keep going, with not enough players to form teams. For many young people, that meant missing out altogether.

But things are changing. 💪

Thanks to some great leadership at Kambalda West District High School, rugby is back— with strong interest from students and not one, but two teams up and running.

Recently, Westgold helped 28 students travel to Perth to take part in the Rugby 7s Youth Carnival.

For many, it was their first time competing against metro teams and getting a glimpse of opportunities beyond their hometown.

It wasn’t just about the rugby—it was about building friendships, confidence, and the opportunity for these young people to see what’s possible.

We’re proud to support local communities and help create opportunities like this.

This ANZAC Day, we take a moment to reflect on the courage, service and sacrifice of Australian and New Zealand defence personnel—past and present.

We acknowledge all who have served, those who are serving today, and the families who carry that service with them.

We also remember those who gave their lives in defence of the freedoms we value.

Lest we forget.
