🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️ Thankyou to all those who commented and participated. Although a few things could. Have caused this, the main culprit in this instance is a ‘sink hole!’

Sink holes happen when the outer wax cools and hardens before the centre. As the warmer wax underneath contracts, it pulls inward around the wick and traps air below the surface.

This usually happens in winter and on those chilly days. The help prevent sink holes, try to keep your workspace at a warmer ambient temperature, avoid cold bench spaces and pour a little bit hotter.🕯️ 🕯️ 🕯️

We see this a lot and also see the wrong answer being given as to what and why it has occurred ! Why do you think ?

With hundreds of fragrances out there, choosing can feel impossible. Before committing, start small - sample or buy a 25ml bottle first. Don’t jump straight into a 500ml splash… your wallet (and nose) will thank you later!

Remember, scent is personal - what’s dreamy to one person (hello lychee & black tea!), might be a BIG no for someone else.

Candle safety is and has always been a priority for us. We warn of the dangers of adding botanicals or other flammable decorative items yet so many candle makers are taking the risk of causing a major fire.

Let’s not forget! Candles are dangerous if not made correctly, are left unattended or substandard supplies used to create them. Double wicking incorrectly or choosing the wrong wick size also plays a major part in many candle explosions! Yes, they can explode! 🔥🧯🚒🕯️

Educate yourself as a candle maker and warn your customers or those you gift to on the potential dangers.
