I started researching my Family Tree over 15+ years ago and I'm addicted to it! I still work on it and update the information, connect with distant cousins from all around the World and find new and exciting stories about my Family and their Ancestors. It's exciting when you find people connected to your family tree - 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th cousins all around the World. Sharing stories, photos, certi

ficates and information about each other's families and watching your own Family Tree grow and branch out in all directions. I have also completed a refresher course with the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland on Researching Your Family Tree, refreshing my knowledge on basic techniques of genealogical research, ways to access and evaluate resources used in family history and the clear communication of findings. I am also a member of the Western Australian Genealogical Society (WAGS) and have access to their resources. My Family and their Ancestors

I started researching my Family Tree over 10+ years ago and I’m addicted to it! I still get onto it and update information, connect with distant Cousins from all around the World and find new and exciting stories about my Family and their Ancestors.

My initial reason for starting was that I have inherited a medical condition, which my father also had and died from when I was 2 years old. This got me interested in knowing which side of my fathers’ family it may have come from, which is actually my fathers paternal mothers side of the family. My Grandmother also has the condition as well as my Aunt and her daughter (my cousin). Whilst researching, I also found out that my father had two older male siblings who were twins, who died as infants at a couple of weeks old, which no one ever mentioned about. Finding their Birth and Death Certificates was out of the blue and then reading what their cause of death was, inspired me to dwell deeper and further into my family tree, not just on my fathers side but also my mothers side of the family.

It’s exciting when you find people connected to your family tree, 1st, 2nd & 3rd Cousins all around the World. Sharing stories, photos, certifications and information of each other families and watching your Family Tree grow and branch out in all directions.

I have also completed this year a refresher course with the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, Scotland on Researching Your Family Tree. This was a six (6) week online course going over the basic techniques of genealogical research, ways to access and evaluate resources used in family history and the clear communication of findings. The course allowed me to correspond with other people and sharing our information etc. I am also registered with various online Ancestry sites and a Member of the WAGS Western Australian Genealogical Society and have access to their resources..
