Every transformation has a story.
This one begins with a charming character cottage, follows the journey through construction, and ends with a home that beautifully balances heritage charm with contemporary architectural design.
Designed for a professional couple with young children, this renovation was driven by a clear vision: preserve everything they loved about the original home while creating light-filled spaces that reflected the way their family lives today.

โ
Undertook extensive internal renovations to improve flow throughout the home
The true beauty of this project lies in the contrast.
At the front, the original character cottage has been lovingly restored and enhanced, celebrating its timeless proportions and period detailing. Beyond it, the home opens into a striking contemporary extension, where soaring raking ceilings, architectural cladding, expansive glazing and beautifully considered living spaces create a bold yet complementary statement.
Rather than competing, the two styles work together effortlessly. The character home provides warmth and history, while the modern extension delivers light, space and functionality. It's the best of both eras, thoughtfully connected into one cohesive family home.
The result is a home that feels timeless rather than trendy, honouring its past while embracing the future.
