This week Director spoke to a room of 800 people at for the IWD Lunch. Emma’s powerful address called for legislative change in the form of a Human Rights Act for WA and codifying UNDRIP into domestic law. She argued that we cannot balance the scales when the law does not benefit equitably.
Substantive change is required to give women and First Nations the same foundation to thrive.
Emma called on the WA Government to act and outlined the stark challenges between policy, implementation and outcomes.
