m Director. Prior to that he was 3 years as Commercials Director at South Pacific Television in NZ. Seeing an opportunity to expand into Asia, in 1997 he opened RT Films in Indonesia, establishing RT as a quality, award-winning production house in the South East Asian region. Ross returned to Perth in 2008 to be with his family and to re-establish himself in the corporate sector. His latest work includes TV commercials for QBE and Perth Glory, a company profile for TSG Consulting, A Port Coogee TVC for Aspen, web promos for Snap Printing, TVCs for Bannister Downs Dairy and Carnarvon via the Gascoyne Development Commission, a safety drama film for Chevron, and a safety training film for Western Power. Ross is also focused on passing on his knowledge in business, media and human relations sector and, after gaining his Cert IV in Training and Assessment, lectured at TAFE in film & television and was involved with Teamworks Development Australia in experiential learning, participating in the last four AusAID Leadership Development Conferences in Canberra as head of AV, facilitator and documentary director/producer/editor.

I'm circling back on my 'TINNEY TALKS' - life lessons I learnt as a film director. I think the advice is still relevant. And you can not only use them to improve your chances of getting your first job in the film industry...you can apply them to any career pathway you choose.
But my biggest challenge is the duration of the film. What with the spiralling attention span of the world today. Maybe I need to cull the values learnt to three. OR...you just sit down, relax and take in all five.

This video I am extremely proud of. As much what the women have achieved in the video, than the effort to create it.
A great team effort stretching over a couple of years, documenting a group of entrepreneurial ladies who started the Halls Creek Women's Hub.
The idea behind the hub was to enable local indigenous women to congregate, communicate and create art and fashion. What a wonderful success story.
