One product change. That's all it took.

Our fam running operations across the US, were out on an exploration job running X FRAC DD.

Same banner. Same standards. Same commitment to getting the job done right.

The ground wasn't cooperating. Lost returns, unstable formation, and nothing they had on hand was holding it together.

They put X FRAC DD to work.

First run in, returns came back.

Water levels stayed consistent through the entire hole. Ground stabilised. Job moved forward.

No complicated program overhaul. No system rebuild. Just the right product in the right conditions, doing exactly what it's supposed to do.

If you're dealing with lost circulation or struggling to hold stability in exploration, it's worth a conversation.

If you want to learn more just flick us a DM or get in touch on our website and we can give you a hand when your mud programs aren't getting the care they need! https://bit.ly/4xF9R2a

The final day of DRC Mining Week and the floor was busy.

Our man Theuns is on the ground in Lubumbashi today, walking the exhibition, having real conversations, and offering a bit of drilling fluids advice to anyone who needs it and a general chat.

If you are are the mining or drilling space in the DRC or the Copperbelt, there was no better place to be this week

So if you need to have a chat, today is the last or get in touch with us at mudex.com.au

When Precision Drilling Australia called us out to support their hydrogeological campaign up in the Pilbara, Dempsey packed his kit and headed to site.

No remote advice. No guesswork. Just boots on the ground alongside the crew.

Dempsey worked directly with the drillers through shifting ground conditions, dialling in fluid selection, mixing procedures and circulation performance to keep the bores clean and stable from top to bottom.

That kind of work doesn't happen over the phone.

It happens when you've got someone who understands the geology, reads the returns, and adjusts in real time.

Big respect to the Precision Drilling team for how they operate. They take technical partnership seriously and it shows in the quality of work they deliver for their clients across WA.

That's what this industry looks like at its best. Experienced crews, the right products, and people willing to show up and do the work together.

If you've got a groundwater or hydrogeological campaign coming up and want a mud engineer on-site, reach out. That's exactly what we're here for.

Losing core in fractured ground costs more than time.

It costs accurate resource data. And that changes everything downstream.

GEO BOND 2.0 was built specifically for diamond drilling in unconsolidated and fractured formations.

It forms a polymeric lattice across drilled surfaces, coating the core as it is cut and building a tough, impermeable wall cake that outperforms bentonite where it matters most.

The micro particle polymer system physically blocks fractures in both the core and the borehole wall.

Less filtrate invasion. Less washout. More core recovered in its natural state.

Three things drillers notice quickly:

1. One sack system. Simple to mix, easy to run on site without a chemistry degree.

2. Superior wall cake. The kind that actually holds unstable ground together and keeps your hole clean.

3. GEO BOND 2.0 improves core recovery, better integrity, cleaner resource assessment for the geologists back at camp.

If you are drilling in broken ground and walking away with half a core tray, there is a better option.

GEO BOND 2.0 is available now....

Keithy was out at Mount Lofty Botanical Gardens recently, drilling a water well in an unreal spot

Unconsolidated sand and gravel.

The fluid program running on this one was GEL X 180, VIS PAC RD, and XANVIS.

That combination does the heavy lifting when ground stability is the main concern.

GEL X 180 builds the gel structure needed to suspend cuttings and hold the borehole walls in check and adds hole stability.

VIS PAC RD keeps viscosity where it needs to be without overcomplicating the mix.

And XANVIS adds that extra backbone when you're dealing with loose, shifting material that wants to collapse on you, by keeping the cuttings in suspension

The result — a clean, stable bore through ground that had every reason to give trouble.

One of those jobs where the scenery is stunning and the drilling is running.

June is Men's Mental Health Awareness Month. So Deano has jumped in to share a couple of words as an advocate for Mens Mental Health.

And if you work in drilling, mining, or any field-based role — you already know the reality.

Long rotations. Remote sites. Weeks away from home. The kind of tired that sleep doesn't fully fix.

Most blokes on site are holding a lot. They just don't always say so.

This month is a good reminder that checking in on your mates doesn't have to be a big conversation.

It can be as simple as sitting down with a coffee instead of walking off. Asking how things actually are. Not just the job — the other stuff too.

You don't have to be struggling to reach out. And you don't have to be fine to keep it to yourself.

To everyone on site, on the road, or holding it together right now — we see you.

Check in on your people this month. Not just the usual stuff. Go a bit deeper.

If you or someone you know needs support, Beyond Blue is available 24/7 on 1300 22 4636. 💙

Priorities were in order last Friday.

We took a little detour to support one of our favourite local spots — The Last Local down in Canning Vale.

If you've ever had a staff or client lunch or a knock-off feed with us, there's a good chance you've been here.

And for good reason.

They're sitting in the top 8 for best steak sandwich in Western Australia right now, and for good reason, sanga is awesome.

If you're nearby, go give them some love. 🥩

Support local. You know the drill.

Drilling 7 dewatering wells in 11 days. That was the plan.

AUSIPILE Pty Ltd got it done in 7 alongside John McKnoulty.

The conventional approach for this type of work is slow, labour-intensive, and carries real risk.

Rigging alone chews up 4 days before a single productive hole is drilled.

And when you're extracting casing with well pipe in the ground, there's always the chance of twist and snap. When that happens, your day is gone and so is your pipe.

Ausipile came to us looking for a better way.

We introduced them to KLA BORE, our purpose-built polymer for this application, and worked alongside their crew from preconstruction through to the trial.

The results from the first trial:

100% increase in production rate.

2 wells per day instead of 1.

4 days of rigging time eliminated entirely.

Zero risk of well pipe twist or snap.

The product itself also made life easier on the ground.

Straightforward to mix. No harsh environmental profile. No heavy PPE requirements. And it pumped exactly as it should.

Ausipile's feedback was clear. It delivered on the promise and it's now the direction they're taking the business.

John McKnoulty and the Mudex team were on-site every day of the initial trial to make sure it went right. That's how we work.

If your dewatering well programme is costing you more time than it should, it might be worth a conversation.

Five more years together with TITELINE GROUP.

Bill Ricciardi came down to Mudex HQ in Canning Vale this week for a catch-up, and he and Dave etched another 5-year extension to the Mudex and TITELINE GROUP partnership.

Mudex has been supplying drilling fluids and on-the-ground technical support to Titeline's operations for years now. That kind of partnership doesn't just run on product. It runs on trust, honest conversations, and people who actually show up to get things done on on-site.

When you take steps to keep working together into the future, It means the product is doing its job. The technical support works. And the people on both sides actually want to keep building something together.

Proud of what the two teams have built. Looking forward to what comes next.

To the Titeline crew — here's to the next chapter. Cheers guys 🤝
