Over the past two weeks, our Metro Scaffolding team came together for an important toolbox meeting focused on safety, responsibility, and continuous improvement.

The session highlighted Chain of Responsibility obligations and the critical importance of correct vehicle load restraint practices, ensuring every load is safely secured before transport to help protect our roads, our worksites, and our people.

We also covered:
- Safe and correct use of straps and restraints
- BAC testing procedures
- Vehicle pre-start checks
- Introduction to our new online portal designed to improve communication and provide easier access to important company information

A huge thank you to the entire crew for the strong engagement, positive discussions, and commitment to maintaining the highest safety standards across the business.

Meet Derry O’Neil, our HSEQ Advisor at Eire Total Access. Derry supports our site teams across all aspects of Health, Safety, Environment and Quality, and has been part of the team since August 2025.

Before moving into HSEQ, Derry worked as a scaffolder and thoroughly enjoyed his time on the tools. After an injury forced a change in career, he shifted his focus toward the health and safety field, something he had always been passionate about.
Today, he enjoys working closely with our teams and playing a role in ensuring everyone goes home safe to their families each day.

One of Derry’s biggest personal achievements has been relocating from Wales to Perth to start a new life.
Outside of work, you’ll usually find him fishing, watching Liverpool F.C., or relaxing with his wife and their 6-month-old puppy, Chester - who often joins in on all of Derry’s outdoor adventures.

Eire Total Access would like to show their appreciation for the two full-time Yard Operators Allan Murd and Gerard Ryan.

The two drivers are known for their commitment to the business, their ability to show up on time each day with a smile, and their willingness to go the extra mile to get the job done.

Scaffolding Supervisors and Superintendents always have positive feedback due to the manner in which they conduct their daily activities, as they are a pleasure to have working within the business.

They show integrity, uphold the Eire Total Access core values and safe work methods, and have a strong, positive can do attitude.
