OPEN MIC MARTIN (Sliding Doors) – Life Changers!

Sliding Doors is a movie… but it's also a real thing.
When I was 19, I picked my mum up from work and drove a route home I'd never taken before.
One moment later, an old man stepped into the traffic. I hit him. He died. I was 19 — and I was the driver.
My mum was in the passenger seat and witnessed the whole thing.
It was unavoidable — and I've carried it for decades.
I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because that one "small" decision — a different turn, a different route — changed how I see life, people, and time.
Looking back, three things have stayed with me forever:
✅One small decision can change a life — so I try to live and lead with humility, care, and gratitude.
✅You never know what's around the next corner — so be kind, slow down, and don't waste the days you get.
✅Some moments break you open. If you're lucky, they also make you gentler (on others… and on yourself).
Not meaning to be too deep and meaningful, peeps — but when we chose Sliding Doors for Movie Monday, the memories came flooding back.
Has anyone else had a "Sliding Doors" moment that quietly changed the way you live?

Not prying at all — just sharing how (looking back) I dealt with things… and that's a very private thing for us all?
