Good things happen when good people show up. Here's proof. ๐
1๏ธโฃ Kinetic IT was a finalist for ๐๐ฒ๐๐ ๐ฉ๐ฒ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป ๐ฆ๐๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ ๐ฃ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ด๐ฟ๐ฎ๐บ at the 2026 Defence and National Security Workforce Awards. This one means a lot. It's recognition of the real, ongoing work our veteran crew and team put into our Belonging Framework, Veterans & First Responders Working Group, and the practical day-to-day supports that make a difference. ๐๏ธ
2๏ธโฃ Gender equity in Defence is having a moment. We were proud to sponsor the inaugural Defence Connect Progress Report Luncheon, with Zoรซ King on the panel sharing what it actually takes to move the needle. With Meghan Quinn PSM appointed as Secretary of the Department of Defence and Lt Gen Susan Coyle as Chief of Army, conversations like this feel more important than ever. โ๏ธ
3๏ธโฃ Three Kinetic IT team members were finalists in the 2026 ARN Women in ICT Awards (WIICTA), selected from 222 candidates across Australia. Congratulations to Laura Domingo, Zoรซ King and Courtney Bohan, with a special mention to Courtney for her Highly Commended in Community Impact. So well deserved. ๐
4๏ธโฃ Last week our crew repaired 42 broken phones for Hello Initiative., saving 37 hours and keeping devices out of landfill. Those phones are now in the hands of 59 vulnerable young people. We've also just launched Community Volunteering Leave, so our team can do more of this kind of thing. ๐ฑ
5๏ธโฃ And to wrap the week, a nod to our 10+ year partnership with Women in Technology, Western Australia (WITWA). In 2026 we're going further together, with breakfast networking events, support for the Techtrails STEM, Western Australia school program, and backing the new CyberThrive campaign to get more young women into cyber security. If you can see her, you can be her. ๐
Not a bad note to end the week on. What a crew. ๐ฅฐ
