Creative Art Exploration 🌿🌸
This week the children enjoyed participating in art experiences using natural and recycled materials. They explored painting with a variety of tools. The children also created beautiful artwork by gluing flower petals.
These experiences support fine motor skills, creativity, sensory exploration, and an appreciation for nature and sustainable practices .

They also prepared a beautiful gift basket using the fresh mandarins grown right here at daycare 🍊—a sweet little harvest they were so proud to share.

In April, children will be exploring farm play and learning about different farm animals, their sounds, and where they live. We will also discuss how farm animals are essential helpers, providing us with food like milk and eggs, and materials for clothing such as wool .
Through hands-on and imaginative play, children will develop language skills, creativity, and a better understanding of how farms support our daily lives.

Next week at daycare, we’ll be celebrating Easter with lots of fun activities including arts & crafts using natural & recycled materials, sensory play, storytelling, and a special Easter egg hunt 🐰🥚
These experiences will help encourage fine motor skills, creativity, gross motor skills, and cognitive development in our little learners.

Sonia Family Daycare in Murdoch has a couple of vacancies available. Contact to secure a spot.

The children had an amazing time dressing up as builders and engaging in creative construction play using recycled boxes and construction toys. Using their imaginations as they built, stacked, and explored.
To extend their play, I also added a digger, dump truck, and mixer to the sandpit area—bringing even more excitement and hands-on learning to their play.
