The HR Dept was founded in Bristol in 2002 by Sue Tumelty, a senior human resources professio

nal, who was motivated by the desire to give small business clients the same levels of support, advice and expertise that a large corporate HR department would give, but at a fraction of the price. In early 2017, Pia Engstrom launched the first HR Dept franchise in the Western Suburbs Perth. In October 2020 Pia took over the ownership and management of the HR Dept Australia and is currently the Managing Director. The HR Dept Australia has 10 franchisees across WA, Victoria and NSW. We continue to bring on new franchises and support them to succeed whilst growing the brand nationally.
