ABCCI Welcomes the Honourable Ambassador of Bhutan to Perth

On 26 August 2026, the Australia Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABCCI) had the honour and privilege of welcoming Her Excellency Pema Tshomo, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bhutan to Australia, to a special business networking event held at the Duxton Hotel, Perth.

The event brought together ABCCI members and registered Bhutanese business owners in Perth, providing a valuable opportunity to engage with Her Excellency and strengthen connections within the Bhutanese business community in Australia.

ABCCI and its members extend our sincere gratitude and appreciation to Her Excellency and the officials of the Royal Bhutanese Embassy for taking the time to attend and engage with our business community. Her Excellency’s presence and interaction with our members were deeply valued and contributed greatly to the significance of the occasion.

We also extend our sincere appreciation to ABPI President Kinley Tenzin and ABPI Chairman Deepak for joining us and supporting this important gathering.

ABCCI remains committed to fostering stronger business networks, encouraging collaboration, and strengthening the bonds of friendship and economic engagement between the Bhutanese community and Australia.

The Executive Team of ABCCI had the honour of meeting the new Resident Lam of Khamsum Zilnon Drukpai Lhakhang under the guidance of the Dratshang Lhentshog on 7th May 2026.

We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to KZDL on the appointment of the newly appointed Lam, Khenchen Sonam, whose wisdom, knowledge, and spiritual guidance will greatly benefit the Bhutanese community residing in Perth, Western Australia.

We are pleased to invite the Perth ABCCI members and potential investers to an exclusive session with Ms. Nyema Zam, Founder & CEO of Samuh, Bhutan’s first OTT and Pay TV platform.
