Duties and Responsibilities are:
• Senior Structural Engineer across a portfolio of projects, including providing input into scheduling and the preparation of project budgets, to ensure projects are delivered on time and under budget.
• Provide technical engineering input into repair methodologies and quotations.
• Participate with the determination of feasibility of designs, considering costs, available space, time limitations, company planning, and other technical and economic factors.
• Responsible for ensuring compliance to relevant design codes/standards (i.e., ASIC/DNV/ABS) and client specific requirements.
•Produce calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and other contractual documentation for structural engineering projects in accordance with relevant standards and specifications.
• Provide ongoing technical advice to resolve structural issues during drafting, fabrication, and installation of projects.
• Provide input into weekly / monthly progress reports as required by the Project Manager or Design Manager.
• Maintain a proactive approach in the development of the company, provide feedback to management and strive to implement continual improvement.
• Responsible for the development of 3D structural design models and 2D drawings in accordance with relevant standards, specifications, client and Legeneering requirements.
We would welcome the Senior Structural Engineer who is qualified for these requirements:
• Knowledge and understanding of structural engineering best practices, particularly for offshore applications.
• Knowledge and understanding of Offshore installation methodologies.
• Knowledge and understanding of structural engineering statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Proven experience with industry standard structural engineering, design & drafting software.
• Knowledge of quality procedures, particularly in a structural engineering application.
• Familiarity with relevant design codes and standards, particularly code AISC 360-16, LRFD Design
• Understanding of Occupational Health & Safety knowledge, Safe Work Practices and Procedures
• Proven proficiency in design documentations and drawing reviews.
• Knowledge of carbon and stainless-steel design.
• Proven strong interpersonal skills (i.e., proven ability to interact, develop and maintain a positive working relationship with personnel on all levels, both within and external to the company).
• High level computer skills, familiarity with AutoCAD 2D & 3D, Autodesk Inventor, SpaceGass, Ansys, Sesam and other relevant design Software and Microsoft Office Suite. Autodesk Inventor and SpaceGass are preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
• High level written, aural and verbal communication skills, in the English language.
