My business first officially launched on the 27th May 2019. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I would build myself a successful, thriving business - something that I am immensely proud to call my own. But here I am, two years on, stronger, wiser and continually building to bigger and better heights.

So, on the 2nd anniversary of the launch of my business, I'd like to take this opportunity to say a HUGE and sincere thank you to each and every one of you for your support, for following my journey, for every follow, like, share, message and for helping to make this business a success. I'm excited to see where the next year takes me!

Today, after a 5 day lock-down and a delayed start to the new school year, it is the first day of school in WA. There will be many parents, who will take their babies to school for the first time. Many parents who will watch their babies grow into children before their very eyes as they walk into their first day of school.

For me, this year will be the first year that both of my boys go to school on some of the same days. It will certainly be a bitter sweet moment for me and the reality of it all probably won't truly hit me until I am back home in a quiet house after dropping them both off at school for the first time. They are both so excited to see what the school year holds for them and to be able to play together at school.

All I can say is be strong mums and dads! They'll be back in our arms again before we know it.

As I reflect on the year that was, I am reminded that although it has been a challenging year in numerous ways, it has also been a triumphant year and that the successes are those which we should focus on!

For me, it has meant significant personal and business growth. I have been fortunate enough to on-board numerous new clients who have been an absolute pleasure to work with and get to know. Expanding my business has also meant that I have been forced to focus on my personal growth and development too. It has taught me to believe in myself, that hard work really does pay off and that people will stand up and notice your hard work and effort.

This year has also bought many families closer together. Many parents have found a better work life balance, have found more quality time with their children and have found more flexibility in their workplaces which has meant that they are now able to enjoy more of the activities that they once used to miss out on.

So as we all reflect on the year that was and the year that lies ahead, let’s all remember that there is a rainbow at the end of even the darkest rain cloud. Let’s all try and take some positives from the tough year we have all faced and use this time to reflect on what is truly important.

To everyone, I say may these memories be bold, may they be colourful and may they always be together.
