Just playing the old game of figuring out where each stack goes to make a good kiln load 😆
It never seems to matter how neatly (or not so neatly) it gets stacked off the mill — when kiln time rolls around, we always seem to end up restacking it anyway! 🤘
Part of the process... and part of the fun, I suppose!

Weather’s doing its usual mood swings again… which means it’s officially bandsaw season 🤘
Three little marri logs rocked up from a client — “small, quick job,” I said… we’ll see about that 😆
With winter storms on the way, trees start dropping like it’s their full-time job. If you’ve had one come down on your property, don’t let it go to waste — drag it in and we’ll turn it into something worth keeping.
Fair warning though… what starts as “just a couple of logs” usually turns into a full-blown addiction to woodworking 😂

Recycling timber — this is this client’s 3rd visit with old roof rafters they’ve picked up cheap. They rock up with the timber and a cutting list for us to machine and cut to size.
I’ll be honest — when I see them backing the trailer up loaded with that timber, I shake my head at the headache I’m about to have 😆.
But the beds he’s producing for his family (grandkids) are amazing — definitely deserve a 10/10.
There are many of you out there who are highly skilled and enjoying a great hobby.
Keep it up and enjoy the weekend ahead 🤘

The clean-up begins on a client’s stack of Marri slabs 🤘
These beauties have been a long time coming. Dropped off over a year ago after being picked up off Marketplace… unfortunately holding a heap of moisture. Not ideal 😅
We told the client to park them up and let time do its thing—and today’s finally the day.
Big, chunky 70mm-thick slabs ready to start their next chapter. Keen to see what comes out of these 👌
