🐎🪡 It isn’t always about harness making, these equipe flaps needed some new boot guards. A new pattern & hand stitched on to ensure the old machine stitching holes were reused as much as possible - I love these jobs 🐎🪡

This bridle takes the cake for being my favourite thing I’ve ever made….I feel it was truly a joint effort in that my wonderful customer knew exactly what he wanted - he asked to have these swelled front buckles with fancy keepers, rolled throatlash, clincher links & rosettes, the gorgeous blinker rings & he creatively asked for the beautifully matching shape of the facedrop & noseband - with a touch of red patent from the inside. All lined & raised & stitched 8spi. It took some time making patterns & redoing the winkers as the first effort were a little small but it did win a first at Sydney Royal Easter Show earlier in the year. I have to give Abbey England a massive thankyou as they had these blinker rings made especially, which is just unbelievable service! All other hardware of course also from Abbey.
I can’t wait to see it on the beautiful boy ‘Archie’!

🐎🪡 In my usual late style of posting…. I had lots of fun a few weeks ago making this very bespoke show bridle for a beautiful shire mare in SA. For a colour matching her flights, we used something a little different for the inlay - some toad skin from East Coast Leather with the usual beautiful Dark Havana English Sedgwick bridle leather, including a round 4 plait lead. All traditionally made & hand stitched of course 🐎🪡
