Meet Gab, our sparkly Cellar Door Manager 🍷 It also happens to be her birthday today 🎂🥂 What an apt day to share a little bit more about her...
If you've visited us at cellar door, chances are you've already met Gab. She's the friendly face making sure everyone feels welcome, the glasses are full, and the good times keep rolling. She's also the one on the other end of the emails to our members!
⏳ How long have you been with Mercer W**es?
About two years now - and it's absolutely flown by!
🍷 What does a typical day at work look like for you?
No two days are the same. You might find me hosting tastings at cellar door, chatting with our lovely members over email, or hand-packing orders. Sometimes I even get to play Santa and deliver w**e personally!
❤️ What do you love most about working at Mercer W**es?
The short answer? The w**e (obviously!). The longer answer is that I'm proud to work for a company I genuinely believe in, run by people who actually value work-life balance. It makes every glass taste a little sweeter.
🍽 Favourite thing to do in the Hunter Valley?
Eat! If there's a cheese board or local menu nearby, I'm there. My favourites are EXP and Jimmy Joans.
🏡 If you're not at cellar door, where would we find you?
Either at the gym, in the pool, or most likely sharing a bottle of w**e with friends while all our kids run wild in the background.
🥂 What's your go-to Mercer w**e right now, and why?
The Limited Release Shiraz. It's the ultimate "winter red". It's moreish, subtle and lingering - absolute perfection on cooler evenings.
💡 Best piece of w**e advice you've ever been given?
Don't be afraid to break the rules. Experiment with food and w**e pairings - if you like how it tastes, it's a good pairing.
