We recently had Harrison, winemaker for Gunpowder Wines, join us at the Ben Ean cellar door, and if you haven’t discovered Gunpowder yet, you’re in for a treat.
We’re proud to stock the full Gunpowder range, including the 2024 Shiraz Guido made from fruit picked right here at Ben Ean. ❤️

Guido is Gunpowder’s Italian alter ego of Guy Fawkes: all swagger, charm and just a little bit of rebellion. A wine that doesn’t follow the rules… it writes its own.

Bold, expressive and full of personality, this Hunter Valley Shiraz is dry-grown in one of Pokolbin’s treasured vineyard sites, with dark red fruit, a little spice and plenty of attitude.

🍷 A Table With A Story

Take a seat and taste a little piece of wine history at the Ben Ean Cellar Door.

This beautiful tasting table was originally part of the Lindemans head office in Sydney, and was crafted from wine foudras - the original square wine vats used in winemaking.

After the First World War, many of these foudras were taken to Britain, with some eventually making their way back to Australia. Today, this piece of history has been given a new life right here at Ben Ean.

So when you sit down for a tasting, you're not just sitting at a table, you're sitting with a little piece of wine history🍷
