Peter Drayton Wines Peter Drayton Wines & IronBark Hill Vineyard lie at the foot of the Brokenback Range, in the heart of Hunter Valley Wine Country.

We are also home to an award winning brewery and distillery. Peter Drayton is a 5th generation descendant of the famous Hunter Valley wine producing family. The Drayton family have been producing wines in Pokolbin since 1853. Peter is proud to continue the tradition of producing fine wines from his Ironbark Hill Vineyard. The Ironbark Hill property is a 40 hectare property with over 16 hectares of vines. The vineyard produces the typical varieties the Hunter is famous for including Shiraz, Semillon and Chardonnay. It also has extensive plantings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Verdelho and Tyrian. As well the delicately crafted dry wines, we also produce Sparkling Wines and a wide selection of Liqueur Fortified wines. Our wine range is truly unique for a small boutique producer.

🥂 Happy International Ch*****ne Day! 🥂

Whilst we can’t call it Ch*****ne here in Australia, we can certainly celebrate beautifully crafted sparkling w**e!

Our Wildstreak Sparkling Semillon Chardonnay is made using the traditional method - méthode traditionnelle - the same w**emaking technique used to produce Ch*****ne. This involves a second fermentation in the bottle, which creates those delicate bubbles, followed by time spent ageing on lees to develop extra complexity, texture and flavour.

The result? A fine, elegant sparkling that’s made for celebrating, whatever the occasion!
