Last week we was talking about aboriginal symbols with the kids, got the kids to draw their own and tell their own stories.
They all turned out deadly.
Also NAIDOC is just around the corner, the children and staff at Port Pirie West Children's Centre put their handprints on a banner created for the NAIDOC march.

The Advertiser Teen Parliament, gives SA students from yr10-12 each year a chance to apply to be amongst 30 South Australian students to propose changes to South Australia and advocate passionately.
⚫️🟡🔴
kelis Jackson-Martin, applied through and was given this great opportunity to put her idea forward, along with the other 29 students on the 14th February at Parliament. For Kelis enthusiasm and efforts kelis was awarded one of eleven, The Advertiser Teen Parliament Scholarship. Receiving the award during the Building a Bigger, Better SA, forum.

It's been awhile.
Just wanting to give an update of the past couple of months.
⚫️We have started a journey with atWork Australia mentoring Aboriginal clients
🟡 girls group is starting back up at Port Pirie West Primary School next week
🔴 attending meeting with different services in Pirie to explore providing cultural support.
