Caddy Earthworks are a family owned small business starting in 2006, consisting of Lachlan Caddy, Owner/Operator and Yvette Caddy, Administration and Accounts Manager. Starting with only a bobcat and tandem tipper, we have now grown with various types of equipment to be able to perform any kind of earthmoving job that comes our way. Subcontracting
In September 2007, Caddy Earthworks (formally known as Port Flinders Bobcat & Backhoe) was operating full time, winning jobs with big companies in Adelaide including Hindmarsh Plumbing digging trenches for plumbing inside Coles and Woolworths Shopping Centres and for W M Electrical doing the trenching for the new lights at the Port Pirie Tennis Courts. We have also carried out works for the District Council of Mount Remarkable to further develop and clean up the Port Flinders Walking Trail at Weeroona Island. Following on from the completion of this job, the District Council of Mount Remarkable approached us numerous times to carry out works which included;
• Installation of bollards at Port Flinders Weeroona Island
• Grass Slashing for Fire Prevention
• Installation of signs at Telowie Beach and Port Flinders (Photos attached)
• Removal of hard rubbish from Telowie Beach
Swimming Pools
In 2009 we were approached by Leisure Pools Spencer Gulf to dig the pool holes for their business and we continue to work in partnership. We can dig holes for all types and styles of pools and strive to ensure the hole is to precise measurements required. House and Shed Pads
House pads and footings, shed pads and site preparation have been a big part of the type of work we perform. We pride ourselves with precision and accuracy in every job that we do and work to the precise specifications needed for the specific job. We will also work with the Builders, Plumbers and other services to accomplish the job to their specifications. Rock / Retaining Walls
Rock / retaining walls have become particularly popular in the last two years with customers and it has given us great pleasure to see the end result and how happy the customers are. Again this type of job takes a lot of planning and accuracy to ensure the wall will not collapse and withstand the elements. Rock walls can be a great feature in your yard and look great. Grass Slashing
Following the recent bush fires in 2013 in the Mid North, local council’s issued notices to clients to have their blocks of land slashed for Fire Prevention. This has been another big part of our portfolio, with also obtaining the jobs for slashing works at various marshalling yard sites for Viterra Pty Ltd. This year in 2014, all previous customers from 2013 asked us back to do the job again for them as well as some new customers. Insurance Claim Quotes
We also specialise in quoting for Insurance claim jobs and carrying out the works required. Unfortunately following the bush fires, the Napperby area endured significant flood damage. We were able to remove meters of dirt and debris from the front, side and back of the owner’s home and yard. We liaise with the customer and the insurance company throughout the whole process to ensure all parties are satisfied with the outcome.
