Imagine becoming Australia's first National Hot Air Balloon Campion to setting a world record flying across the Swiss Alps 🤯.

That's exactly what Ruth Wilson OAM (Aviator | Author | Adventurer) did. 👏🏼

Well you can meet her, and hear her incredible stories of courage and resilience. Plus enjoy a delicious 3 course meal with w**e 🍷by W**e Selectors at Restaurant 2317, Soldiers Point. All while raising critical funds to support the mental heath and wellbeing of young people in Port Stephens through jupiter Australia ❤️ (we love your work, thank you🤗).

Some positive thoughts for the day… “What makes you impressive is not certainty. It’s your movement in the absence of it.”

Check out the awesome podcast series- Powerhouse Women by Lindsey Marie featuring Shoshanna Raven on Spotify. It’s a Goodie 🙌.

Going...going...almost gone. Limited spaces available (ONLY 6 spaces left) on this FREE hands on AI Skills training session. Proudly funded through a grant by Good Things Foundation Australia in conjunction with the National Government Be Connected Program.

☑️ Learn by doing
Rather than sitting through lots of information about AI, you will practice using it yourself.
We will guide you through a real-life activity: using AI to help plan your perfect day out.
You will use it to explore ideas for places to visit, activities, meals, travel options or things that suit the interests and needs of your group. The activity is simply the starting point. The skills you practice can then be used for many other everyday tasks.

☑️ Why build AI skills now?
AI is becoming part of everyday life, work and the services we use. It's important to be able to recognise when AI is being used and to know how to use it safely.
Building some basic AI capability now can help you feel more confident as technology continues to change.

☑️ You do not need to become an AI expert.
The goal is to understand what it can help with, know how to start using it safely and develop practical skills you can continue building over time.

☑️Who is this session for?
This session has been created especially for Port Stephens residents aged 50+ who:..are curious about AI but are not sure where to start..have heard a lot about AI but have had little or no hands-on experience..want practical examples rather than technical explanations..would like support while they practice..want to feel more confident using new technology safely
No previous AI experience is needed.

Good Karma feels great. This is one Bus 🚌 that hits with positive impact 😆. A $1027.50 donation where is needed most. ❤️

Positive impacts making a difference in our local community. ❤️

Today I’m paying it forward to jupiter Australia with a $1027.50 donation which Good Karma Bus Community 🚌 was recently gifted as proceeds from the important Child Safe Port Stephens event.

This money will go towards around 10 counselling sessions for those in our community impacted by Child Sexual Assault.

I chose Jupiter because they provide amazing support services to those who need it most in our community. They receive a small amount of Government funding but rely mainly on the generosity of donors to keep providing their life changing services. If you would like to contribute and help Jupiter you can donate at their website (link in the first comment).

We can all do our little bit to pay it forward. 😊

A little bit of kindness goes a long way….🫶

Introducing a little local legend🤩 who is doing amazing things, spreading goodwill and kindness in our community.
Please support 9 year old Luella Bees 🐝, author of the children’s storybook ”The Kindness that Grew”.
You can buy her book at www.luellabees.com. It’s a book to inspire people to be kind to each other, care for others and accept everyone’s unique differences. 💕

Bonus Giveaway 💝 : I’m gifting a copy to one lucky person today so if you know someone deserving of a pep up link them in the comments and say why they deserve some kindness and positive energy today.

Sometimes just recognising good people and telling them you appreciate them is a big enough gift. Have a beautiful day. XBec

897 children in Port Stephens were recorded victims of child sexual assault in the 5 years to March 2026. That's 20% higher than the state average.

It's terrible but true and we know that reported disclosure of child sexual assault to police is a fraction of actual cases.

🚨 We are on a mission to make Port Stephens a child safe community and we need your help 🫵🏼. Latest crime statistics show we have a lot of work to do (see below). We have higher incidence of child sexual assault than the state average and the numbers are shocking. ⚠️

Join us at our Community Child Safety Education Session with Kristy McVee and learn how we all can help children feel safe, heard and protected. 💕

📆 SAVE THE DATE- Saturday 8th August 8.30am, St Phillips College Salamander Bay

Who is this event for? It's for anyone who has any connection to children in their lives. You may be a neighbour to children, your friends may have children, you may be a grandparent. Basically every adult in the community. Bring your sister, bring your husband and bring your friends.

Here are the shocking statistics for Port Stephens.
🥲 897 sexual offences committed against children (0 - 17 yrs)
🥲 1166 sexual offences committed against all age groups
🥲 20% higher incidence of child sexual offences in Port Stephens compared to state average

Here are some NSW statistics:
🥲 40% of child sexual offences are committed on children under 10 years old
🥲 Only around 7-8% of child sexual offences reported to police result in a conviction (not good enough)
🥲 9% year on year increase in recorded sexual assault incidents

Shockingly, 897 reported instances in the last 5 years.

This event will help you better understand how we can all help children feel safe, heard and protected. 💕 Guest speaker, Kristi McVee, is a former child sexual assault detective and she brings extensive experience and dedication to this education session.
