Australia’s Anti-Money Laundering Framework is reaching further than it ever has.
From 1 July 2026, the expanded Anti-Money Laundering and Counter-Terrorism Financing (AML/CTF) regime brings accounting firms that provide specific designated services into a broader regulatory framework.
For businesses, this means compliance is becoming more closely connected to everyday processes. Company information may now need to be verified and reviewed more carefully, from onboarding through to ongoing engagements, particularly where ownership, business structures or transactions require further verification.
As a reporting entity registered with AUSTRAC, Australia’s financial crime regulator, STONE Accounting Group is adapting our processes to meet these requirements while keeping our approach clear, efficient and commercially focused.
