Small Scale DIY Solar - Basics & Safety Workshop
with the team from Preston Off-Grid
SATURDAY & SUNDAY - 10.30AM

A presentation and technical demonstration on the simple do's and don'ts of small scale off grid and mobile power systems aimed at safety and compliance for the budding "hands-on" DIYer.

Milo and Martin will explain and demonstrate proper techniques and cover the common mistakes and pitfalls for the DIY enthusiast. We aim to demystify and explain the technical skills and rationale behind small system design and installation including fusing, cable terminations, battery safety and all the associated risks.

If you've ever wondered what cable to use or where to put a fuse, why your batteries need replacing prematurely or where that "magical blue smoke" came from and how to avoid it, this education session is for you!

Please bring along photos of your current setup, or diagrams of your proposed system - Milo and Martin can have a look, answer questions and give recommendations for you to take home!
