Whats 3D printing about? Isn't it just for fancy things that big companies might use?

A car came with 2 cupholders in the well. One was great for the usual size cup because it had a special block in the floor of the cupholder. But the other side was really deep, designed for megasize cups and unusable if you didn't use those huge cups.

It was really easy to create a file and print a new custom block or base and suddenly have 2 usable cupholders.

3D print is very useful for everyday items now. It just needs a little thinking outside the box... or outside the cupholder!
