Main Ridge Estate is the oldest commercial winery on the Mornington Peninsula. The three-hectare sheltered vineyard, positioned perfectly on gentle north-facing slopes, was first established in 1975 and the winery opened with the release of the first vintage in 1980. From the outset the aim has been to make pinot noir and chardonnay wines of the highest possible quality by limiting production to g

rapes grown on the Estate. Yields are held to very low levels and traditional wine making techniques are used to make wines of great elegance and complexity. The cellar door is open on weekends and most public holidays for tasting and sales. Wines are distributed by mail order and to selected wine stores and restaurants. In December 2015, ownership of Main Ridge Estate passed to Tim, Libby and James Sexton, following the retirement of founders Nat and Rosalie White after 40 years as pioneers of the Mornington Peninsula wine region.
