It was great to see our Pipeline Renewals team in Victoria join forces with volunteers from Yarra Valley Water and Service Stream as part of Yarra Valley Water’s Reliability Program's community initiatives to support Eat Up.

As Australia's only not-for-profit organisation providing free lunches to students on a national scale, Eat Up helps ensure kids have the nourishment they need to learn, grow and succeed.

More than 20 volunteers prepared 1,100 sandwiches in just one hour to help feed children across Australia.

A big thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to get involved. It is initiatives like these that deliver real impact and support to communities where we live and work.

Congratulations to Glenn Munroe, who recently celebrated an incredible 30 years with Abergeldie.

Glenn joined the Abergeldie family through the acquisition of John Young Kelvinhaugh and has been a highly respected Estimator in our Precontracts team ever since. Working closely with our design and delivery teams, he plays a critical role in shaping project outcomes by assessing constructability, time and cost, and preparing detailed estimates that set projects up for success.

Renowned for his technical expertise and deep understanding of complex mechanical scopes, Glenn has an innate ability to visualise the project and develop well-considered solutions that drive positive project outcomes.

Consistent, dependable and highly skilled, Glenn is a valued mentor within the team, always willing to share his knowledge and support others to grow.

Glenn, thank you for your outstanding contribution over the past 30 years. Your expertise and professionalism continue to contribute to our success and the complex projects that we deliver to help build better communities.

We were thrilled to recognise the innovation, dedication and hard work of our people driving success at the Abergeldie Excellence Awards, held during our annual Business Planning Conference. The awards brought our teams together to celebrate those making a meaningful impact across the business.

In just over a week, our CEO, Mark Bruzzone, will take part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout for a sixth time.

One night outside doesn’t come close to what thousands of Australians face every day, but it’s a powerful reminder of how quickly circumstances can change.

With homelessness at an all-time high and more families under pressure, Mark is taking part to help raise awareness and critical funds for those doing it tough.

Over the past month, our teams came together to share a cuppa, fire up the BBQ, and support the Cancer Council through Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea. 👷‍♀️☕🍰👷‍

These moments gave us the chance to pause, connect with one another, and acknowledge a cause that touches so many lives.

We’re proud to share that across our sites and offices, we raised over $2,700 to help support the Cancer Council’s vital work in research, prevention and care for those impacted by cancer.

A special shoutout to Youssef Hakko, an Abergeldie team member currently seconded to the West Region Delivery Team, who, for the fifth year in a row, championed his team’s efforts and raised over $24,000.

A big thank you to our people who cooked, baked, donated, organised, or simply took the time to be involved.

We’re proud to share that the Raising London Circuit project has secured a win at the Master Builders ACT CCF Earth Awards.

The Raising London Circuit project took out the Project Value $30M to $75M category. Delivered for Infrastructure Canberra, this city-shaping project now provides a critical connection for the future Light Rail to Woden, linking the city centre with Commonwealth Park and supporting a more accessible, sustainable and integrated transport network.

The works involved raising London Circuit by approximately 6m between Edinburgh Avenue and Constitution Avenue to meet Commonwealth Avenue, along with the construction of a new signalised intersection designed for integration with the future light rail.

Ilka brings extensive international experience in the construction and engineering sector, with a unique blend of expertise in sustainability, engineering, project management and accounting. She is passionate about practical, outcomes-focused approaches to sustainability.

Ilka will drive the continued evolution of our sustainability strategy, with a focus on sustainable operations, emissions reduction targets, and reporting, while also supporting projects to meet client and industry requirements.
