We're proud of the progress being made on Yarra Valley Water's Reliability Program, where 14.5% of contract hours have been delivered by women in the program's first two years, significantly exceeding the program target.
We're also celebrating some important milestones across the team:
๐ Brenda Ruth became the program's first female apprentice to complete her Certificate IV in Civil Construction.
๐ Yusra Khan recently joined the team as a cadet, supporting our sewer project managers.
๐ Samantha Lehman became the first woman promoted to Leading Hand on the sewer EX lining and cutter crew.
These achievements reflect our commitment to creating meaningful pathways for women to enter, develop and progress their careers in construction. Through programs like Yarra Valley Water's Partners in Reliability Program, we're helping create opportunities that support a more diverse and capable workforce for the future.
