You may have noticed that I haven’t been baking much over the past year. My real job has been taking pretty much all of my headspace so I have limited baking to family and close friends...

But I have made an exception for Asher who turns 5 this year. I’ve been making her birthday cakes for the past three years and this year she’s asked for a mermaid cake!

This is actually a piñata cake filled with mermaid themed sprinkles from .sprinkles.au which will spill out when the cake is cut open 😬🎂 Happy Birthday Asher!

My niece and nephew’s cake from March this year ❤️ the bottom tier was a dairy free chocolate cake for the allergy sensitive kiddies. The top was a browned butter salted caramel for the grown ups!
