James St Food + Wine Trail returns to once again transform James Street into a 300m communal dining room from July 27-30 and this family-friendly event is free to attend.

Over 7,500 square metres of James St’s prime roadway, laneways, gardens and outdoor spaces from McLachlan to Arthur St will give way to alfresco fine dining, live entertainment, kids activities and spontaneous dance parties in the sunshine.

For four days, James Street's impressive community of awarded restaurants, bars and eateries will unite for a jam-packed program of foodie events and activities, culminating in Market Day on Sunday, July 30.

Market Day will see the top chefs, mixologists and baristas all step out of the kitchen and onto the street to collectively serve the community one giant feast from 10am-5pm.

The free event will feature a curated selection of historic and contemporary buildings, with everything from heritage-listed homes to cutting-edge commercial spaces including some of Brisbane’s most iconic buildings, its most popular previous venues and some of our city’s newest projects and best-kept secrets. Some of the highlights from the 2022 event included City Hall, Customs House, and the Brisbane International Cruise Terminal and some exciting additions such as the Iconic Precinct within Fish Lane Arts Precinct, and the inaugural Villages of Brisbane weekend celebrating Sandgate and Shorncliffe.

The 2023 Brisbane Cycling Festival is gearing up!

Rolling back into town from March 15 - April 16, the festival offers a month of cycling opportunities! There is something on offer for all disciplines of bicycle riding; from the velodrome to the road, to mountain biking, gravel, cyclocross and BMX freestyle.

The epic line-up for this year includes the return of the Tour de Brisbane, AusCycling's Track National Championships, the Festival Village, the Active Lifestyle Expo along with the Oceania Cycling Championships for road, track and freestyle BMX.
