Just finished up a big trip through Western Queensland carrying out repairs and seeing a fair bit of the country along the way.
I only managed to get a limited number of photos this tripโ€ฆ mainly because I left my phone in Winton!

By the time I realised, I was already about 4 hours down the road in Boulia. Luckily, the great people at the accommodation I was staying at were kind enough to let me use their phone to try and track mine down.

Thankfully, we found it! A big thanks to Graham for looking after my phone and keeping it safe until I could organise getting reunited with it.
I continued on with the trip โ€” no phone, no photos, but plenty of work!
And who knewโ€ฆ public phones in Australia are free! ๐Ÿ“ž

Another big trip, plenty of kilometers travelled, plenty of repairs completed, and plenty of good people met along the way.

Poly Silo Repair
Out on site recently carrying out repairs to a poly silo that had developed a good-sized split in the wall.
After getting stuck into the repair, the split was successfully repaired and the silo is now back in service.

This, side by side, has seen a fair bit of hard work and the floor had holes in a few spots. I got stuck into it, repaired the damaged sections and reinforced the floor to get it back into shape and ready for plenty more work out in the paddock. These machines cop a fair bit of punishment, so itโ€™s always good to get them repaired properly and keep them going rather than replacing the whole thing.

Another job done and another machine back out where it belongs!

A guy reached out to see if I could help tidy up the inside of a Polycraft boat he had recently purchased. From the photos, you can see it had a few screw holes and cut-outs that needed to be fixed. Once I got a match on the poly welding wire, I got stuck into it and I think it came up pretty well. What do you think ๐Ÿค”

Looks like I seem to be runnin' into a few of the locals in Boulia, cruising about my day getting tank repairs done, and I come across camels ๐Ÿช

Got a call to repair a split in the cartage tank in Mundubbera. This tank was repaired from the inside, so I got to check and see if the baffle balls were doing their job. ๐Ÿ‘Ž Got the tank sealed up and ready for its next job.

After the recent floods in Bundaberg, I got a call to repair a pontoon that had come adrift from its morning and had drifted down river and ended up in a park. A fair bit of damage had been done, but I was able to get it patched up and ready to be floated home.

Working from home over the long weekend, I had a repair lined up on a 200-litre spray tank with a good-sized crack. This time I had the right colour wire on hand.

Tanks are not the only repairs I can carry out. At one of the properties I visited recently I got asked if I could repair motorbike guards. Sure can. The guard had seen better days and was being held together with zip ties. Pity I never had red wire on board, but the customer was happy either way to get it patched up and rid of those zippy ties.
