My name is Lynn Houtaha, happily-married, 44 year old, Aussie female with experience teaching in State and Public schools from Central Queensland up to the Far North Qld., down to the South East Qld. I currently live in my hometown,

Rockhampton, Qld. I started tutoring for other private businesses while studying Education in Uni. I later helped ATSI Youth in various church ministries and taught Numeracy & Literacy under the Department of Education, Science and Training under the Aboriginal (and Torres Strait Islander) Tutorial Assistance Scheme tutoring A.T.S.I. with primary and high school students. I loved it. So I started my own business around 1997, registered for an ABN later. In 2011, I began E.S.L. teaching conversational English to whole classes Korean (online) and Japanese Elementary and High School students (in person AU) for private companies and voluntary through churches to refugees & migrants in Australia. It is delightful to still keep in touch with a few students through Facebook and email (some are overseas). If you know of someone who needs encouragement and practical tuition then give them my email address to directly contact me: [email protected] or send me a Facebook message. Strictly for booking enquiries only no spam. SUBJECTS:

Unfortunately, this content is important and necessary to discuss.

Regardless of whether it was taught to adults in the past or not, it is relevant and real.

The 10 standards that came in, in Qld covered in training for schools, churches etc, cover signs of grooming.

We cannot turn a blind eye, adults need to be aware and believe, act on any disclosure.

There is support.
There is knowledge.
Being aware is a priority.
Children's safety is critical.

Parents see Not My Kid for information and resources.

One of the hardest truths for parents is this:

Most children cannot identify grooming or manipulation when it’s happening online.

Because it doesn’t start with danger.
It starts with trust.

Predators don’t begin with threats — they begin with connection:
• gaming chats
• compliments
• shared interests
• emotional support
• daily conversations

And by the time a child feels uncomfortable… boundaries may already have been crossed.

This is why awareness matters more than assumption.

You may think your child would “tell you immediately” —
but grooming is designed to make children feel confused, not alarmed.

That’s why we created a simple way to help parents understand readiness.

This is a non-judegmental post. Part note to self / reminder.

Some may cringe or groan at tax time.

It can be a lot easier with help.

You may have a favourite app, accounting software, hire a bookkeeper and see a regular tax accountant.

Having the paperwork prepped prior is key to a smooth appointment.

For those GST registered - hiring a BAS agent makes the world of difference.

Every business owner is responsible for the paperwork.

My tip: Go digital!

I remember working for others, finding, sorting, going through copious recents for the financial year because the owners were not on top of it. They had stuffed receipts in a pile (who hasn't done that). Then forgot about until June! Then panic, the mad scramble. 🤦🏼‍♀️

Now we can cut down the madness:

📲 Scan those receipts.

Use a bookkeeper.

Hire an accountant.

Hire office staff, outsource the task you loathe (or neglect.)

Don't panic, get help. Ask.

Try Bag Your Bills

Bag Your Bills™ organises and maintains expense documents for Australian sole traders and small businesses. A start-to-finish service combining practical human support with efficient digital systems — not another app or DIY software platform.

What's something small that makes you feel joy? It could be seeing a rainbow, doing something creative or singing along to your favourite song.

Those tiny reminders that good stuff exists are called "glimmers". They're a great tool to keep in mind for the tough days ✨

Homeschooling is a great option for some, not all, families. See this business for more information.

There are communities and groups that help support families.

If this is something you've wondered about, seek knowledge and ask questions.

There are pros and cons with all systems of education. All have their place. Let's encourage families to choose what's best for their learning and development, emotional and physical needs. What might suit one family might not suit another, and that is okay! Some might opt in or out of different models/systems /programs throughout different times and seasons over a short or long period of time. That's okay too.

Helping families know what to teach, what to capture and how to stay on track.

South Korean entrepreneur YoungHoon Kim has attracted widespread attention online after publicly declaring his belief in Jesus Christ, with a series of social media posts that quickly spread across Christian communities and beyond.

Kim, who is known for his work in technology and cognitive research, shared a message affirming his Christian faith and linking it directly to his understanding of reason and truth.

“As the world's highest IQ record holder, I believe that Jesus Christ is God, the way and the truth and the life,” Kim wrote in a post that was widely shared across social media platforms.

The statement drew significant attention because it came from a figure known internationally for his involvement in intelligence research and cognitive science. The post was reposted by numerous Christian pages and online communities, sparking discussion about the relationship between faith, science, and intellectual inquiry.

Kim later expanded on his views with another brief but widely circulated message.

“Christ is my logic,” he wrote.

In subsequent remarks, Kim said he hopes to use his public platform to “lead many souls to God,” underscoring his desire to openly discuss his Christian beliefs despite the often-contentious debates surrounding religion in academic and scientific circles.

Beyond his public statements on faith, Kim is the founder of NeuroStory, a South Korean organization focused on artificial intelligence and brain health technology. He has also studied Christian theology at Yonsei University, one of South Korea's leading universities, reflecting a longstanding interest in both scientific and religious questions.

Kim's recent posts have generated discussion among Christians who view his comments as a notable example of a public figure with a strong academic and technology background openly embracing faith. The remarks have also prompted broader conversations online about whether scientific achievement and religious belief are necessarily at odds.

While discussion surrounding Kim often focuses on claims about his intelligence credentials, the central message of his recent posts was his personal profession of Christian faith. Rather than discussing scientific theories or technological developments, Kim used his platform to express his belief in Jesus Christ and to encourage others to explore faith for themselves.
