Last week's mystery item sparked a bit of debate πŸ‘€

Many of you guessed it was a vintage bed warmer, used with hot coals and slipped between the sheets on a cold night.

However, several of our followers had a different theory, suggesting it was actually a vintage silent butler (or crumb catcher) that was missing its brush.

After doing a little more research, we're inclined to agree! The shorter handle suggests it was most likely a silent butler from the 1950s, used to sweep up crumbs and ash from tables and fireplaces.

We were blown away by all the entries from our Little Wooden Friends school holiday workshop. The creativity, imagination and reuse skills on display were incredible, making it very difficult to pick a favourite.

At The Tinkerage, we love seeing families get involved in our school holiday activities. It's a fun way to show the next generation that reuse, upcycling and creativity go hand in hand. What might have once been considered waste can become something truly special with a little imagination! ✨
