🌺 Lest We Forget – ANZAC Day 🌺

Today, we pause to honour and remember the brave men and women who have served and sacrificed for our country. ANZAC Day is something we take very seriously here at Grizzly’s Towing & Freight — it’s a day of respect, reflection, and gratitude.

For our family, it’s also deeply personal. Every year, Grizzly proudly marches wearing his great uncle’s medals, carrying on his legacy and ensuring his service is never forgotten.

We will always take the time to pay our respects and remember those who gave so much for the freedoms we have today.

Out of respect for the men and women who gave so much, we will not be completing any tows today until after 1:00 pm today. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause to you.

Grizzly’s Towing & Freight is rolling into Rockynats and we couldn’t be more pumped! 🚛💨 We’re ready for a massive weekend of horsepower, burnouts, and unreal builds!

Meet Jakarra.

The reason Grizzly sometimes looks mildly embarrassed on your feed.

Jakarra joined the family business this year to bring Grizzly’s Towing & Freight into the social media world — with reels, funny moments and behind-the-scenes snippets.

She’s a mum to two energetic, car-obsessed boys. Life at home is a mix of Hot Wheels, Lego, Monster Jam (on repeat), and gym sessions squeezed in where possible.

If you asked Jakarra her favourite part of being part of the team?

She’d say:

“Embarrassing Dad on camera… and connecting with our local community.”

Because at the end of the day, this isn’t just towing.
It’s family.

Meet Shaelene.

Every family business has a backbone — and this one has Shaelene.

Wife of 37 years, mum of two daughters, grandmother to six busy little legends — she keeps the paperwork flowing and the wheels turning behind the scenes.

When she’s not handling invoices, you’ll find her crocheting, doing diamond art, or cheering on her grandkids at soccer, netball or daycare pickup. Gar days are serious business in this house.

If you asked Shaelene her favourite part of working at Grizzly’s?

She’d smile and say:

“Looking after our customers like they’re part of the family.”

🛻 MEET THE MAN BEHIND THE WHEEL

Meet Grizzly.

20+ years in the towing industry — and still rolling.

Grizzly isn’t just a tow truck driver. He’s a father to two daughters and a proud grandfather to five boys and one girl. When he’s not behind the wheel, you’ll find him watching truck and motorsport programs or teaching two of his grandsons (who live with him) everything there is to know about cars.

He’s an avid collector of limited-edition model cars — carefully putting together a collection for his grandsons to one day enjoy. Passing down his love of motorsport has been one of his greatest joys.

If you asked Grizzly his favourite part of the job?

He’d tell you:

“Helping people on what’s usually their worst day — and turning it around.”

Because when someone calls a tow truck, it’s rarely a good day.
And Grizzly takes pride in showing up calm, careful and steady.

Where it started vs where we are now…

About 20 years ago, a man with a dream bought his first tow truck.

The goal was simple — build a business and provide for his family. With a lot of nerves and a leap of faith, he got his ABN, his truck licence, his wife designed the logo… and Grizzly’s Towing was born.

Over the years, that one truck turned into many. There have been challenges, hard days, and plenty of lessons, and a fight with a tractor 🚜 — but through it all, Grizzly has stayed true to who he is: a hardworking family man who takes pride in helping others.

Today, Grizzly’s Towing & Freight is built on care, reliability, and good old-fashioned service.
