A big congratulations to Steve, Kate and the team at Duff Builders who recently won a Master Builders Queensland award for The Wheat Shed Wallumbilla in the Community Service Facilities category.

The project provided an exceptional community asset for the Maranoa Regional Council.

Stanford Structural undertook the complete structural design including: footings, hybrid timber and steel wall framing and the iconic exposed timber roof trusses. The trusses are tribute to trusses in the original building which stands nearby.

A great project to have been part of and a big thank you to all others who were involved.

We recently attended the opening of the Wallumbilla Wheat Shed. A community project for Maranoa Regional Council that we provided the full structural design for.

Our design included a custom 48m long jointless raft slab, and some 70 bespoke hardwood timber trusses.

The building is a homage to original wheat shed that still stands nearby.
