Emergency Response Team (ERT) member Craig Youd generously gave up his time on Monday night to deliver a Mines Rescue training session to the 1st Queenstown Scout Group, giving local Scouts a hands-on introduction to a range of rescue techniques.

The session focused on working safely, communicating clearly and getting the basics right - the foundation of any strong emergency response.

It's a great example of our ERT volunteering their expertise to help equip the next generation with these important life skills.

Graduate Surveyor Drew Beatson spoke at the AusIMM Student Chapter Tasmania Student Meets Industry night in Hobart last week - sharing his experience with a room of 90 people exploring careers in mining.

Just eight months into his graduate program, Drew gave a real, first-hand look at what the journey looks like: the hands-on project work, the professional development opportunities, and how the program supports genuine work/life balance.

Events like this are a great chance for us to connect with the next generation of mining talent - and even better when we can showcase it through the voice of someone living it right now.

MMG Rosebery recently hosted 56 delegates from the ANCOLD Tailings Operators Forum for a tour of our Bobadil Tailings Storage Facility (TSF).

Led by Manager of Tailings Pamela Soto, visitors got a firsthand look at how we manage and operate the TSF, including our new beach blanket drains, plus the strong results coming out of our closure cover trial.

The feedback from delegates? Overwhelmingly positive.

A great opportunity to showcase Tasmanian expertise in tailings management on the global stage.

When Chris Winskill started at Rosebery in 1969, she was one of just 26 women on site.

Fast forward to today, and she's joined by considerably more women across every part of the operation - managers, engineers, metallurgists, geologists, truck drivers, operators, administrators and more - all making their mark on one of Australia's oldest continually operating mines.

If you're a woman considering a career at Rosebery, you'll be in good company.
