VandalTrak Pty Ltd

VandalTrak Pty Ltd VandalTrak develops technology that helps concerned citizens, community groups, government and law enforcement agencies to tackle crime head-on.

VandalTrak was formed by Antony Krkac when he realised that attempts to record, report and remove graffiti, and to prosecute the offenders, have been frustrated by a patchwork of complicated
procedures. He and a group of concerned citizens began working on a graffiti management program that would help members of the public to join forces with local councils, businesses, the police and volunteer cl

ean up groups. It uses GPS coordinates to fix the precise location of each tag. Users don’t need to install any software, and it doesn’t matter whether they use a Mac or a PC. All that’s needed is access to the Internet and a current
web browser.

A 19 year old Lawson man will appear before the Katoomba Local Court in October to answer five charges as a result of incidents in the Wentworth Falls and Bullaburra areas. It is alleged that the man is responsible for placing graffiti in and around the railway stations at those locations on timber, metal, glass and electronic equipment such as the Opal Top Up machine and Opal readers.

In addition to good quality CCTV footage, police will rely on physical evidence that was found on the man at the time of his arrest. Apart from the damage to public property, the man was also charged with a breach of the current Public Health Order.

The cost of damage to public property by means of graffiti is high and members of the public with any information about people who cause such damage are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
