Currently undertaking his apprenticeship through CEG and hosted by SA Engineering in Roxby Downs, Michael was nominated for Best 1st Year Apprentice - Mechanical Engineering at the 2026 ATEC Training Awards & Graduation Ceremony, where he proudly made it to the finals.

Being recognised among the top apprentices in the field is an incredible achievement and reflects his skill, dedication, and perseverance 🔧💪

🎉 BIG CONGRATS! 🎉

We’re proud to announce that one of our apprentices has officially completed his trade !

After plenty of early starts, hard work, learning curves (and a few “character building” moments ), he’s come out the other side as a fully qualified tradesman — and a bloody good one at that.

He’s now competently running both CNC and manual machines often at the same time, producing quality work day in and day out, and we couldn’t be happier to have him as part of the team.

Massive thanks for the effort, dedication and commitment you’ve put in, it’s been great watching you grow from apprentice to tradesman.

Trade’s done, congrats! Now when things go wrong you can finally pass the blame onto the apprentices like a proper tradesman 😂

Well done Lachlan, we’re stoked for you and keen to see what’s next!

As the year comes to a close, SA Engineering would like to acknowledge and thank the people who have contributed to our success over the past 12 months.

First and foremost, thank you to our SAE team. Your technical capability, commitment to safety, and consistent delivery to a high standard are the foundation of everything we do.

We also thank our suppliers and delivery partners for their ongoing support, reliability, and collaboration throughout the year.

Finally, to our customers — thank you for your continued trust and confidence in SA Engineering. We value the opportunity to support your operations and do not take that responsibility lightly.

Looking ahead, we are entering 2026 with strong momentum. The year ahead will focus on continued capability expansion, including further investment in our systems, workforce development, and compliance frameworks, ensuring we continue to meet and exceed the expectations of our clients and industry partners. Alongside this, we have some exciting announcements to come, which we look forward to sharing in due course.

We are proud of what has been achieved this year and look forward to continuing to work together in the year ahead.

Red dirt, creek crossings, and 50,000 cattle — SAE keeps Australia moving!

SAE doesn’t just keep the mining and resource industry running — we’re backing the industries that keep Australia ticking.
Our crew recently got stuck into fabrication works on the Coopers Creek Barge, a vital link in moving cattle through some of the toughest country out there. From now until the end of December, around 400 trucks with cargo of approx 50,000 head of cattle are expected to use the barge — proof of just how crucial it is.

From red dirt to creek crossings, this is the kind of work we love — building tough, reliable equipment that keeps Australia moving. 💪

This milestone is a tribute to the incredible people behind SA Engineering — our dedicated team, past and present you’ve survived tight deadlines, shifting scopes, and the occasional “quick job” that turned into a weekend-long saga. Your passion, skill and ability to keep things moving has been the backbone of everything we have achieved. We couldn’t have done it without you — and we wouldn’t dare try!

A special thankyou goes to those loyal team members who have been with us since day one. Your commitment and belief in our vision have been instrumental in shaping SA Engineering’s journey and we are truly grateful for your dedication and loyalty.
