🔥 FIRE SAFETY – KEEP IT CLEAR! 🔥

Things I have been noticing lately. Fire extinguishers, hose reels, fire blankets and emergency exits are there for one reason — to be ready when you need them most.

It might seem harmless to place a box, stock or equipment in front of fire safety equipment, but in an emergency every second counts.

A fire extinguisher hidden behind a stack of boxes isn't much use when you need it in a hurry!

A clear path today could make all the difference tomorrow.

CHOO CHOO… JIM’S COMING THROUGH!

Today we were back on the trains servicing a new rail client.
It’s been a while since we’ve had a rail job, so it was great to get amongst the trains and get stuck in.

New client, different workplace and plenty of gear to check — just another day at the office for us!

I’ve decided to have a crack at video editing and put together something a little different!
While I’m still learning the editing side of things, one thing I know very well is fire equipment needs to be inspected and maintained regularly.

Fire extinguishers, fire blankets, hose reels and other fire safety equipment can sit there for years without being touched — but when you actually need them, you need to know they're going to work!

Regular inspections can identify issues such as damage, corrosion, expired equipment, incorrect pressure or equipment that simply isn't fit for use.

So, what do you reckon — how did I go with the video editing?

And more importantly… when was the last time your fire equipment was checked?
