We have two pieces of news we are very proud of this week.

First, our Grand and Rare Rutherglen Muscats are now available on Qatar Airways, one of the world's most awarded airlines.

Second, our Rare Muscat has already been recognised at the Cellars in the Sky 2026 awards, picking up Silver in both First Class and Business Class fortified wine categories with scores of 95 and 94 points respectively.

Judges described it as "intensely sweet with a touch of liquorice, molasses and old wood, with a long, rich finish." We will take that.
Our Rare Muscat includes parcels of wine dating back to the 1970s, meaning four generations of our family have had a hand in this particular wine. It is so special to see it appreciated on a stage this size.

1995 Vintage Fortified, Jack's Block Vineyard

31 years in the bottle and it's still singing. That's the magic of Vintage Fortified.

The 1995 Vintage Fortified from Jack's Block Vineyard is a taste of history and a showcase of the late Chris Killeen at his very finest. The colour is remarkable for its age. The bouquet is lifted and floral, full of charm and a complexity that draws you in before you've even taken a sip.

Then the palate opens up; aniseed, blackberry, violets, pepper, and what can only be described as an entire spice cupboard, reverberating with energy and vitality. Intense dark fruits, liqueur chocolate, walnuts, a touch of espresso. Layer after layer, each one revealing something new.

Built on a shiraz foundation with a splash of touriga nacional adding extra depth, this is traditional Australian fortified at its absolute best. Lightly sweet, deeply complex, endlessly persistent, and seamlessly smooth.

We are thrilled to be recognised as one of The Real Review's 2026 Top Wineries in Australia! This places us within the best 2% of Australian wineries rated by The Real Review.

With over 10,000 wines reviewed, we're delighted to make the list of those who 'consistently produce excellent wine' as number #39.

In addition to receiving scores in the 90's for some of our recent vintages, we were also honoured to be listed as a finalist in 'Fortified Wine of The Year' category, for our 2022 Vintage Fortified.

Congratulations to our neighbours at Pfeiffers, Morris, and Chambers who are all listed in the top 50 - cheers to that! 🥂
