Here’s what you need to know from 1 July:

💰 The national minimum wage has increased by 3.5%
📈 The superannuation guarantee rate is now 12%
👥 Casual employees can now request permanent roles through the new Employee Choice Pathway
👶 Paid parental leave has increased from 22 to 24 weeks
💼 The government will now also pay superannuation on paid parental leave

The Fair Work Commission’s wage review was announced earlier this month — and now the updated Modern Award determinations have been published on the FWC website.

These changes apply from the first full pay period on or after 1 July 2025.

Today the Fair Work Commission confirmed a 3.5% increase to the National Minimum Wage and to all Modern Award minimum wages, effective from 1 July 2025.

🔍 What this means for employers:
• The new National Minimum Wage will be $948 per week or $24.95 per hour
• All Modern Award minimum rates will rise by 3.5%
• Now’s the time to review your pay rates, update employment contracts, and ensure payroll compliance
