How does a hobby turn into a thriving art business?

For Carol, it started with discovering Powertex after watching Ashley on Colour in Your Life.

After attending workshops with Ashley, Carol fell in love with the product and eventually became a Certified Powertex Trainer.

Today, she runs Ladybird Creative Arts from her studio in Hamilton Hill, WA, where she shares her love of Powertex with other creatives.

✨ WHAT COULD YOU CREATE IF YOU GAVE YOURSELF PERMISSION TO EXPERIMENT?

One of my favourite things about teaching art is watching people surprise themselves with what they can create.

Sometimes all it takes is trying a different technique, combining materials you wouldn't normally put together, or being brave enough to see where an idea leads.

That's what makes me so excited about Powertex Pathway 2026!

This six-month programme from Powertex UK brings together opportunities to learn, experiment and explore the creative possibilities of Powertex.

I'm thrilled to be one of six guest experts, sharing my approach through a lesson and monthly live Zoom support meetings.

❤️ POWERTEX CHANGED THE WAY I CREATE!

When I discovered Powertex in 2010, my imagination went into overdrive!

Suddenly, I could move beyond the canvas and start incorporating fabrics, found objects, texture and sculptural forms into my artwork.

That excitement led me to become the Australian distributor in 2011, and I've been exploring the possibilities ever since.

Even after all these years, I still love that moment when an idea starts taking shape and you discover something you weren't quite expecting. 🎨

That's why I'm so excited to be one of six guest experts in Powertex Pathway 2026.

I'll be sharing a lesson and joining monthly live Zoom support meetings throughout the six-month programme. I can't wait to encourage others to experiment, follow their curiosity and discover what they can create.

DABBLE DAYS - FREE TO JOIN

Have you ever heard of Powertex?

If the answer is no, you might be about to discover your new creative obsession.

Michele from Powertex UK is running Dabble Days this September — a completely FREE online creative event where she’ll introduce you to the wonderfully weird world of Powertex and show you what you can actually DO with it.

And the answer is… rather a lot.

Michele calls Powertex “liquid joy”, and she’s helped hundreds of people use it to turn ordinary materials into incredible pieces of art — including plenty of people who started out convinced they weren’t creative.

You’ll be guided through a project step by step, learn techniques you can use again and again, discover loads of possibilities for taking your own projects further and create alongside a whole community of people doing exactly the same thing.

There’ll also be prizes to win simply for getting involved.
