Hi all, I've had this project on the back burner for some time and wondering if there's interest in getting a few of these made? its a cover panel for the heater on the Datsun 510. tbh, I've not seen one in a car before either.

Not every day you are on the business end of one of your designs, but this week I got the unfortunate opportunity to do so.

This is the Aussie 'green whistle', or a fast acting non-opioid pain relief device. It tastes like s**t, but pain relief is meant to be very good. It didn't work in my situation where I had a nasty little 5mm kidney stone that decided to take me out last Wednesday. I don't wish that pain on anyone, and apparently it's the closest thing a Man will have to childbirth 🤣😳

But to the design part: I was tasked with the job of reverse engineering the part from original 2d drawings and physical samples to retool for manufacture by an alternative supplier. Cool project for sure, and used by many.

Pray that I don't need to see you again! 🙏

We're looking to move some stock of our original SSS LHD Dashes, so if you're up for a bargain, they've dropped from $660AUD to $510AUD (Of Course!!) works out to around $340USD plus shipping.

Price has been applied to our website, so no need for discount codes.

We have also sorted out our shipping issues into the US, apart from some early hiccups with orders which we're working through now.

⚠️ US orders STILL on temporary hold ⚠️

We are still holding orders from the US as the tariff's are becoming clearer.

As we currently understand the tariffs are now broken down into the following. A General 2.5% Rate, an additional 10% US IEEPA Tariff, then the final additional 25% US Section 232 Tariff. Total tariffs = 37.5% additional cost to the order.

We're working hard to figure this out, so please bear with us. This isn't good news for not only our business, but all other businesses here in Australia exporting to the US.

⚠️ US orders on temporary hold ⚠️

Australia Post has announced that all parcel services to the USA and Puerto Rico are temporarily suspended from 26 August 2025 until further notice.

This is due to new US import tariff regulations that require duties and taxes to be prepaid before parcels arrive.

What this means:

- Letters/documents with no commercial value can still be sent
- Parcels can’t be lodged to the US or Puerto Rico for now
- Any new orders will be placed on hold until services resume

If you already have an order with us, don’t worry, it’s safe and packed. We’re working hard to get things moving again as soon as possible.

I've been checking into what the effect of these import tariff's mean, and we're hoping that there is no additional cost to you. However, we will know more once the details are updated between Australia and the US.

Got a few things happening in the background whilst its freezing cold here in Winter in Oz.

A customer was after a 66mm gauge holder for the air vent. we've developed the prototypes below!! let us know what you think. i don't have a 66mm gauge at this stage, but the 52mm doesn't look quite right.

Have also got a blank plate version as well, can fit in what ever you want!! as long as its under 80mm diameter.

While I'm working away at the digital dashes, I fixed up a problem on my ignition barrel for the Datsun.

there seems to be at least 2 variants of these, but after a lot of years, they clap out. the one i had didn't really lock onto the barrel and was a pain.

So i redesigned it to clamp onto the body of the key barrel better and still locks into the steering column surround well.

Is there any interest in these as well? tossing up making them as well.

The IC7 dashes are now manufactured and the 2 samples have come up awesome! going to manufacture more of these and some LHD's as well. I'll get the production run in stock within the next 2 weeks.

from here I'm going to then run the other dash types, and get them in stock too. i know a few of you have been asking, so put your hands up here and I'll get to those designs next.
