Not every day you are on the business end of one of your designs, but this week I got the unfortunate opportunity to do so.

This is the Aussie 'green whistle', or a fast acting non-opioid pain relief device. It tastes like s**t, but pain relief is meant to be very good. It didn't work in my situation where I had a nasty little 5mm kidney stone that decided to take me out last Wednesday. I don't wish that pain on anyone, and apparently it's the closest thing a Man will have to childbirth 🤣😳

But to the design part: I was tasked with the job of reverse engineering the part from original 2d drawings and physical samples to retool for manufacture by an alternative supplier. Cool project for sure, and used by many.

Pray that I don't need to see you again! 🙏
